Without this mod, the ai looks even more pacific and hardly build any miltary units at all, but this can be only my impression...

Is this still working? The ai still is very pacific and ineficient combat-wise (In my current game, I have both Gengis Khan and Tomyris as neighbours and never got attacked, even when all my army was literally my scout until late medieval era), but I do see it waging wars sometimes and building units, even if is totally unable to conquer any walled city. One or two civs per game will spike on scientific development and get one or two eras of advantage in relation to everybody else in the middle game, but with a few campuses I can catch up them later. I play on king difficulty. Culture victory still is so is that is ridiculous. Domination is actually hard because ai settles on every free land avaliable and is always building military districs very well positioned, so you will stack griviences as hell.

Also, do you have any knowledge about if it is possible to add great generals to AI unit teams?

To mod creator: I noticed you're using AgendaTraits to add more militarstic flavor to certain civs. Have you considered using LeaderTraits instead? I am not 100% sure, but however it seems to me that AgendaTraits are mainly reffering to modifiers affecting diplomatic relations, rather than leader behaviour themselves. E.g. I used LeaderTraits to add anti-religion bias to military civs using trait_leader_nonreligious_major_civ which allowed early war focused leaders like alex and genghis to stop building holy cites and instead build encampments allowing them to get much more useful (theoritically) generals.

@Abigor this mod doesnt change how AI places cities, neither i believe does it affect how it produces units - this is just basegame AI doing base game AI things, nothing new. As for no wars, this seems a bit weird, but there can be mutliple issues including but not limited to: difficulty too low, map too big, leaders in game too friendly (gilgabro, gandi, jon curtis, le fleur the bruce etc), game spawned too much barbs which distracted AI, game speed is too slow (standard and above speed AI is even dumber and makes lower units than quick/online) etc. If you want to contirbute and not be a **tar*, please specifiy as many details about your game.Also if you want to playtest mod i recommend playing a few (typically 3-5) games and also a 1-2 game as a spectator. HF in your games!

doesn't seem to be working for me, if anything feels like AI became even more passive, 100 turns in and no wars have been declared, some AI have nothing but 1 scout, their cities are placed in weird location and are barely developed

Seems to me very passive also. And now until round 140 No One has built Walls, only City States.

Played it this week on the hardest difficulty and with the new pass the IA is back to passive...

I can verify that this mod still works in Gathering Storm. The author should probably clarify in their mod description that it requires the DLCs

this is the only ai mod that actually gets the computer players to use GDR's. Thank you for making this mod, finally I can have a GDR battle!

With this mod it seems that the AI stops producing units at some point. It happened to my two neighbors. One stopped producing during a whole era and the other one completly stopped and remains at 0 military since classical era and for the rest of the game.

We were at war and they had a large empire so there is no reason to stop production.

Thanks anyway for trying to make the AI more agressive.

Actually, starting a game from the ancient era, all civs are the exact same governments again and there is world peace because of it

I wanted to test late game wars by starting in the atomic age and the whole world was at peace becasue everyone went democracy. Literally everyone

@Julius, Hmm... I can try to do it maybe. I don't know how it would work or if it would be good to have. Normally the Ai will target the person with the least protection and the person they could gain the most out of.

Having looked through the log files, I'm seeing a load of errors relating to missing traits and agendas. A bit of searching suggests these might only exist in Rise and Fall.
Does this mod not work with the base game then?

I was excited to try this mod, because the vanilla AI is pathetic, but on trying to start a new game, an error pops up telling me "One or more mods failed to load content"; this is the only mod I've installed.
Playing on base game, without expansions. Any advice/help?

@Nboss01, I don't think so. In games that I have played before, the AI actually quickly jumps to later governments.

as far as mod indeed works well for ai in terms of development, it seems to also make them pacifists

okay but i love that it settles alot because i do the same. vanilla ai literally settle 3 cities and get walled in by me lol. anyways, they have the same amount of cities as me, just alot higher pop. so what i am thinking is that they might be doing these campus research grant or something. idk how to look in their perspective but thanks for responding anyway.

@Abdulkareem Abadi | 둘, No. The ai has likely founded a lot of cities because I gave the ai a large focus towards them. The mod doesn't give any tangible bonuses to the ai.

@Roach, Yes. The AI will use the navy and airforce a lot more. I can't guarantee amphibious assaults though.

Looks like it work well. Actually i have enemy soldiers on the field. Without your mod i always run into player against city battles, but only a few enemy units. It was always about defeating cities.. So it looks like it work very well now and i can finally have something like a war.

The AI feels stronger and more intelligent. They are also faster to nuclear weapons, I think that has something to do with your mod. They use their resources wisely and are much more threatening. I love it. Good job, thanks a lot :)
