Honestly, I think both this and the violet-cyan style should both be in the game, like morning glory/death at dusk.

i'd like to see what other people think of it since i could easily make a second version of the effect (morning glory/death at dusk style).

First I would just like to say this is a very nice effect, and I enjoy the realistic aspect of it which I feel more effects should aspire to do.

However, I do have 1 criticism that I feel could help this effect.

I believe the background light you've added should be, well, just blue. A dark sort of blue that you would expect from a morning sky view looking at the mountains.
