You place them in the ModConfigs folder. If you can't find it, ask your server host provider

for server-side saving, where do i place the .json file? the same directory as the .bat files, or a subdirectory of it?

This is perfect for my kitchen sink modpack, i swear its so hard to make a modpack without running into crashes every 4 mins, or lag spikes that make your fps drop to 0, making you need to alt f4 Lmao, thanks for saving my progress!

this mod makes the game save regardless of if you are afk or not

Hi, do you think you could add an option that saves the game when the player is AFK? Like, a counter ticks when you're not moving or doing anything and if it goes above a certain time it saves.

tml handles backups automatically, use them. That's why I didnt implement a backup feature myself. You can read more on this here: https://github.com/tModLoader/tModLoader/wiki/Basic-tModLoader-Usage-Guide#world-and-player-backups

Hey, I just lost all my items (magic storage) in another world (3 so far) to my power going out. I would love to see a backup feature where the mod saves past autosaves and deletes the oldest one so you have a set amount of backups that you can configure.

Please try it first before just asking if it works

Has not been updated since May 2 and TmodLoader has updated since then.

I just tested it on stable by resetting my config (in case you guys had the autosave disabled there), then set the interval to 10 seconds and enabled chat notifications, then cheated in a zenith into my inventory, waited for the notification to appear, then alt+f4 out of the game (which exits without saving), then loaded back into the game and the zenith was still in my inventory. I can't reproduce your issue. Try opening a topic in the discussions forum and send your server and client log, including a screenshot of your configs. (using text and image hosting sites)

as @UMCEKO said, it doesnt seem to work with current tmodloader, (and i have half the mods running). Not working means, it doesnt save anything. Its loaded both on server and client, but nothing happens

this mod invokes the same code that regular saving uses (i.e. when you save&quit). Since it crashes in both occasions, consult the tmodloader discord if you need help regarding that

Does it happen without this mod? Can you try doing host&play and play for 5+ minutes? Vanilla should make the player save at that point

in 1.3 there is a mod for that called "Save Button", ask its dev to get it ported

so can u add a manual save but on text like leaving to save the word sucks

please elaborate on "does not work"? does the mod appear in the mod enabled list (if you type modlist in the server console, or the ingame chat? The mod is nosync, meaning players won't automatically download it from the server

this mod doesn't change anything about the saving behavior, just allows you to change when it saves

This mod is a lifesaver! The game just HANGED every 10 minutes in multiplayer and being able to change that is vital. Just wanted to know why the game lags so much to save even after being moved to an SSD.
