I found a game-breaking bug that this mod can cause in 1.5. When trying to install one of the new wall lights from vanilla 1.5 on the same cell as a prison wall (in my case the prison wall was perpendicular to the wall I installed the light on), the wall light blueprint is impossible for a pawn to reach. This causes all pawns assigned to construct to bug out and sit idly "standing" for any period of time that they don't have a higher priority task assigned, and they will not do any lower-priority task either. This did not occur in 1.4 with the OG wall light mod.

Because I paused, ordered a bunch of construction at once, then pressed play, this didn't begin occurring until quite some time after construction began. Took quite a while to figure out.

If anyone adopts this mod for 1.5, this might be worth a look.

One note however; the prison doors are not transparent and do not give vision when paired with a mod that adds field of view. The walls are however, so I suspect it's a simple XML change that I am willing to explore if the author doesn't have time to update. Please let me know, @BICKLEY

Glad it works for you Renegade - It was working for myself as well, the coding for such a simple feature was much more difficult than expected

The only mod with prison walls that actually allows temperature from the other side, thanks so much. Using 715 mods, Furnishings and VFE - Architect which both have prison walls and doors and after testing only this one lets air/temperature pass through. Also have no issues shooting through them even with CE. Have had several mod incompatibilities with such a big mod list but this works perfectly so don't know what could be breaking it for the others in the comments. It does separate the other side into a new room though as @mjdecker123 said but I personally like that, can make actual prison cells instead of having a prison barrack and dealing with mass jailbreaks.

any way to have the bars and doors count as a room? I thought at one point it did work, but now it is claiming outside of the walls as one room.

how will this mod interact with Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Architect? it also adds prison doors and walls? would these take precidence over those ones in load order or would it disable those in that mod for these to take the spot?

With a nine-degree heat difference between the main hall of my sell-block and every cell, I'm afraid that it looks like the wall system has struck again.

They should already, unless everything is broke because rimworld wall system is trash

Acting as vents is a great idea

Seems like there is no temp exchange. I feel like they should act like vents so that you don't need to vent each cell individually.

NA - idk I'll have to jump on and check, haven't played much

the temperature exchange does not seem to be working for me. there's a 10 degree difference between the heated area, my cells with bars and doors on one wall, and another ~~30 degree difference between the cells and the outside (through a double sandstone wall). if i put in vents between the heated area and the individual cells, it pretty much solves the problem, as one would expect.

am i missing something here? is the temperature exchange imperfect?

Only the walls. I replaced the prison walls with limestone blocks and left the prison door and it works fine now.

DrBubba - I'm curious, does it do this if you use the prison door, or the walls?

I was playing with this a little and it seems that if I made my cells using steel prison walls (and prison doors), they prisoners weren't getting fed and I was unable to get the option when right clicking on a prisoner to "deliver food" to them. I only noticed that no one was feeding them when one died and trying to manually send them food wasn't working.

As soon as I replaced the steel prison bars with limestone blocks, I was able to feed them again. Seems weird, but wanted to pass it along.

-Create Room
-Temperature Exchange
-Can Shoot Through
-Can Support Roof
