In earlier versions before 1.3, when items were stacked, they were displayed within the same tile, which felt more natural. However, since version 1.4, they shift, making it seem strange. Is it possible to revert the drawing process for just this storage to the pre-1.3 stacking display method or reduce the degree of item shift when stacked?

No inference of error in your own mod - I just don't have the faintest clue as to how this may occur. I'm aware that other Deep Storage mods have settings for visual "vanilla / everything on top of each other (neater)" stacking, but I see no mod options in the menu for this one.
Is there a way around this? Or is it just what it is? No worries either way. Love your work. Thanks.

Is there a way to fix my existing saves? This is the only mod I added since starting the save in question.

Leading to MASSIVE error spam bloat. I'll happily provide a hugslib log if requested.
Configureable Shelf Capacity: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2872105813&searchtext=Configurable+Shelf+Capacity
Rimpy placed Configureable Shelf Capacity above Extended Storage in the mod load order, and seems to work fine.
Repeating again: I have not done thorough testing and cannot confirm there will be no conflicts.
This seems to be a result of the storage change implemented in 1.4. Vanilla shelves can now store up to 3 items, and the default display behavior is the "stacking" system people have reported here. This mod increases the stack limit but does not change the default display behavior, which is why the piles go up to the ceiling.
LWM's Deep Storage contains a mod setting that restores the pre-1.4 UI (item display does not stack upwards). When that mod setting is enabled it also fixes the item display for Extended Storage objects. Unfortunately, Deep Storage also adds a bunch of duplicate storage objects, which makes the Architect tab quite cluttered.
I'm not knowledgeable enough to submit a proposal on how to copy the option for Extended Storage.
