@Grem™ In a dialogue the fisherman literally says he's not the angler's father, but in the same dialogue is implied he wouldn't mind being his father.

Hiya. I like the Fisherman, but so far he's just selling basic stuff (I looked through the different shops, and enabled it all). What determines his inventory?

The fisherman doesnt come in the town even though i got like 10 npcs + angler and about 4 open houses

@Asra You are correct. I forgot to update the vanilla Town NPCs' chats to the new format I made. I will release an update soon.

I just talked to the Zoologist and she said Mods.FishermanNPC.NPCDialog.Zoologist.ExtraChat1 and ExtraChat2.

@Sonder Put the trash items in your hot bar and then right click the Recycling Machine while holding the item. It doesn't work if you hold the item outside of your inventory. I'll try to find a fix for that, but for now just put the items in your hot bar.

recycling machine doesn't seem to work.

I assume you're supposed to click on it with trash items, but nothing happens when I do.

I just uploaded some images. The shops shown in the images contain almost all of the items that the Fisherman can sell.
