Haha thanks. Glad you can finally enjoy it :) Honestly this isn't that impressive, just a "throw parts at it and see what sticks" kind of build, trying to learn the blocks in HI.

you put in alot of effort and more people need to appreciate that. It takes days of time and work to create what you have, and i respect you for that

And no harm done uogamer, gotten comments like yours since first dlc came out years ago so I'm somewhat used to it, it just gets me wound up sometimes since all I want to do is share something I'm happy about but nothing serious this time! :)

uogamer79, We all have rough days and that's okay but I really appreciate you being genuine with how you felt and how regrettably that it effected your behaviour. Add me and I will gift you three dlc, the first two being Heavy Industry and Sparks of the future. The third can be your choice. After that I recommend just waiting till the rest go on sale if you feel like it.

@uogamer79 - I understand your feelings on the matter, but as Kronk said, they're darn cheap (especially if you get them on a sale), and largely cosmetic. The devs took this out of EA quite a while ago, now, and have supported the modder community overall. It mostly affects single-player games anyway. And the author says right up front that this is just to mess around with the newest DLCs. There are tons of blueprints that don't need DLCs or which build fine without those parts, if you look around.

@OctoMoose - This is some darn gorgeous work! I think what I love most about it is that it fits my notion of what a proper spaceship *should* look like, vaguely submarine-ish. Space is at a premium in space, ironically. The reverse thrust by flipping is in keeping with a lot of the sci-fi that I've read over the years, as well. It'd be awesome to see a small lineup of similarly themed ships -- so if you're working on some, please do post them :) I'm missing two DLCs, unfortunately, and they're the two you use lol. Will pick those up after I catch up on 3 months of rent, now that I'm able to work again. (Yay!).

uogamer79, why not support the devs? Dlc is damn cheap considering what is offered. If your not interested in cosmetics that's cool, but it's a bit silly to get upset over not being able to access dlc content. No mods tag is meant to imply that this is vanilla server compatible which mods are not.

I love your hauler variant more but both are great designs. Great use of the dlc blocks! Feeling inspired to build something myself. :)

I know about the orange for the insulating foam, just meant for nostalgia. in space, a reflective silver or gold would be best for heat protection. i wish SE factored in Heat differences, reentry friction, and radiation hazards into the ships. maybe even metal oxidation over time. to where you actually have to maintain your ship, but make the more sturdy as well.

Space shuttle tank being orange was due to the insulator foam. In space white is better since it reflects off more sunlight with its higher albedo than dark making it better suited in my head for this as it needs less cooling by itself. Orange tanks are bloody fantastic though visually.

Maybe some color? make the hydrogen tanks orange to be "space shuttle-esk"

I love how you used the different DLC and update blocks to make something that is very nice Hard Scifi. very fiew people know about radiator panels IRL. your use of the frost dish and industrial hydrogen tanks/thruster is awesome. i'm looking to build something similar in survival. thank you for the inspiration.
