Great idea. I'm curious if there will be more powerful Xshotgun or Xarmor in the future?

@Big Beefers: I took a look at the new weapon trait system, and I think so. As long as weapons are tagged in a certain way, they should be. And that's one of the things I went over for the last update.

I just updated this. Some balancing, some small changes to cater to changes made with 1.6 and Odyssey. And also updated sprites for the ranged guns (including color change from pinkish to light blur for both weapons and projectiles).

is this CE compatible? i used the Xpike and i couldn't land a single hit and died to a genie when i had a flak vest.

No changes made at all, just the compatible versions. I have tested it without issues.

When I make these weapons my colonists still dislike them with the meme I have, they only weapon they like is the charge rifle. the rest give a 5 mood debuff.

I'm not sure what the issue is.
This looks like a great mod, and clearly no one else here is having this issue, so maybe it's some odd type of conflict.

I'm on 1.2 and getting many errors on the startup screen. I cannot possibly post all of it here, but the errors are very similar, and *most state their class does not correspond to any field type etc

Here's an example.

XML error: <weaponClasses><li>RangedHeavy</li><li>Ultratech</li></weaponClasses> doesn't correspond to any field in type ThingDef. Context: <ThingDef ParentName="BaseHumanMakeableGun"><thingClass>

Your mod looks really really cool, but, these errors worry me.
Great weapon design though. You have a real eye for art.

@Side1iner i don't know how to do modding however i do agree dealing with CE is a massive pain on the modding scene since you need to set up the CE modifiers and a "if (mod name) is active use (file name here) if not use (other file name here)" i don't think this works with the majority of coding systems anymore however that's just the beginning then you got to set up the ammo and the like so it's fine

@bearhiderug: Ah, maybe they added it with the 1.3 update then. If it's 'Ideology' it'd be an easy fix, I think. If 1.3, not as easy.

@十年一品温如言: Depending on wht mods you have that changes the Research tab it can be in different places. If you don't have any mods changing the layout of your Research tab it is in it's own tab (on the top).

@十年一品温如言: It is! I've tried it with 'Character Editor' and I can choose as it should be. It's called 'XSword', so it should be near the end of the list no matter the amount of mods you have.

I found a trader selling some of these weapons, and they seemed to be rather cheap. I thought the xSMG in particular wouldn't be unfair at 10x the current price. Although, I would rather they be unbuyable in the first place and only found through relic quests.

A shield would be neat! Will put in on the list of stuff to look at. The cooldown of the XSnipe will stay the same, at least for now.
