Why do people spend all their time complaining about mods not being updated when they could just make one themselves?

A message to the mod devs,

When I try to load in the mod after updating the config file to the right ModGen version, the mod still broke, giving an error message that reads:

'You are using mods referencing models from DLC you don't own. The game will restart with all mods disabled.'

I didn't have this error on older versions, so I wonder if you know what the problem is which I am experiencing right now and what I should do in order to fix it.

i have already change the config file to a newer version , but every time i load the game or turn the mod on , the game always crashes , even though it was running smoothly few days ago .

i did what the comment says , it work perfectly , then it doesnt and the game keep crashing everytime i turn the mod on , does anyone face similiar issues

And for the record this was one of the best and fun mods on the market pity the mod maker gave up.

Looks like devs implemented enforce mod deactivation function if mod is out of date please update the mod.

I'm getting an error trying to activate this mod saying its out of date and cannot be activated.

I didn't change the config file at all. Most mods will still work well, unless the creator has had to change the mod file number.
As I said, as it was marked as not activated in the Mod Center in-game, I'd assumed it hadn't been updated.

Doesn't activate. I think you are missing a few numerals.

The new Mod gen number is 130290 paste that into the config and it should work

Even if the mod is dead the self update workaround is applicable

@MrSeryous Yeah, the limited unit cards also massively help the AI in the allocation of its cards and allows for a lot more flavor in the divisions you create. Sometimes I like putting a few IS-2s into an otherwise weak deck as a golden asset. Having the AI have 100 of them in what would otherwise be a naval infantry unit utterly spoils the effect.
