I just started a highly modded city and had a starting map with two highway connections which lined up, running directly through the middle. So I connected them with a large one-way road in each direction and decided to put my housing on one side and industrial on the other.
I started seeing a mess of traffic even though I had removed the stop signs and lights at the cross-roads.
It turned out to be half the town walking to work causing all the cars to stop for them...
So I removed the cross-walks and spent a while trying to get my terrain just right to make a simple overpass but gave up and found this gem in the workshop.
Hopefully it works because It is nice to have the residents walking to work but not if they clog up my makeshift highway! (did not have the more advanced road options yet, small town.)
Anyway, long post but I was a bit shocked that there was nothing like this already in-game; or at least easily found.
