After 5 years of modding for this game I am stepping aside. Life has me busy and I will not have time to update my mods. If anyone picks this up let me know and I'll post a message in the description pointing people to the 1.4 version.

I'm still having the problem of faction relations changing to zero after a few seconds of starting a colony. I've checked for other mods effecting faction relations and can't think of one, I even experimented with mod order to no effect.

Do you have any mods that change how worlds are generated? It's likely another mod is running before this mod and then preventing this mod from running. You can try moving this mod up in the load order too.

The colors change, but the goodwill is not randomised.

I like the faction decay mechanic though, I'm gonna try one last thing, might have worked out what the mod conflict is.

Arg I have the problem with all my factions turning neutral no matter what at the start of a game... I tried having this without faction control mod, or messing with the mod order, and nothing seems to fix it. Strangely the relations stay the same... so I'm at -100 and neutral with some factions... only the permanently hostile factions are unaffected.

I have the opposite problem, I love faction relations decay, but I want to be able to set what the relations decay towards, I like living on very grumpy planets with turian and krogan raids to spice things up.

Faction Control mod used to disable the "Natural Tendency" changes to faction goodwill and I liked it a lot. I have both that and this, but they're still changing in my game. Is that option removed? Or have I missed it somewhere?

@Thundercraft World Edit 2.0 lets you rename factions and even create new factions + a lot more

Disabling the Random Goodwill, will make the color part of the mod work with RimWar?

@NickBachGamer There's a scenario part in Vanilla Expanded Framework -- when you start a new game, in the scenario selection menu (Crashed Survivors, Lost Tribe, etc.) you can enter Edit Mode and add the Scenario Part "Forced faction relations". It needs quite a bit of manual editing, though, and it's scenario specific so you'll have to save your scenario if you want to start a new game. (And, of course, the scenario will become dependent on having the framework installed, if you wanted to share it.)

Question: Is there any mod that does the same thing?

Cause for me this mod does not work in my medieval modpack. When I activate randomize goodwill then there are no further settings on the right like it should be. So when I create a new world then everything just stays the same unfortunately :/

I rather wish there was a way to rename factions on that Random Goodwill menu...

Does anyone know if there is a mod that allows renaming factions (preferably with a button to roll up a new, random name)? I've looked. But, so far, I can't find anything like that.

Currently you have to specify the range of random goodwill for each individual faction, which can get quite tedious if you have a large number of factions.
Could there be 1 global option of say all factions will have somewhere between 80 to -80 goodwill then you could specify if you want a pirate gang (or any other faction) to have between say -40 to -80 separately from the global value

So you probably don't have to! I know how much I've had to edit the heck out of my own mod and redesign the whole thing due to 1.3. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts, and I thought it was your mod that had that before.

I had added that to faction control mod but after 1.3 it got changed and I have not had time to go back and fix it. I'll probably add that setting to one of those mods when I have some time

Is it possible to keep relations from degrading, so only things you do affect faction relations?

And your screenshot looks correct. When you edit the values do the factions not have those values when you generate the world?

Please explain what you do and what happens and why it's not what was expected. Are there ant log messages?

Yes. As soon as a faction becomes hostile, their settlement icons will turn a red hue. The more red, the more hostile.
