As soon as you bought the Trade Software extension the trade window sorts/filters all known offers/sales according to what the ship in your squad is capable to either carry or has on board.
The limitation to it is that offers/sales information can decay.
And at this point you have to install a Trade Agant on every station that's what the minigame with the trade offer update option is actualy.
As soon as the Trade Agent is active information for this station refreshs itself.
The Best Buy/Sell Software did work pretty much similiar more or less you had either a Ship a Station or a Satellite (counts as Ship) active in the System so the extension could know what to trade for.

you mean when i win the NPC mini game and they agree to give me price updates that will feed into the current trad screen ?
Ok -- but what I also wanted was a way of figuring out where I can buy sell stuff - even if I havent visited the station yet - fair enough that I would have to visit to get prices and win the price update game - its just knowing where to go in the first place that has me stumped
maybe we can get a new menu that shows wares, where they can be bought and sold and be able to set a course to the station from the menu itself ---

I don't wan't to highjack this topic but actualy what you are looking for is already in the game.
The Tradesoftware extension does all that for you.
What you have to do is to play on each station in the universe the tradeoffer update minigame the trade menu will sort and filter all offers for you for the chosen ship you got in your squad.
So the only thing that would/could need modding would be something that is doing that minigame for you automated but hey as anoying as it is you only have to do it once and without a satellite network you had to mantain the best buy/sell rly did not work that well either.

However, I will not be the one to do it. It would be great to see some other modder do it though.
I have not downloaded the mod yet but I have a question.
One of my problems with XR is that once I've bought some stuff eg Nvidium, is figuring out where to sell it ---
So is it possible to create a new menu that combines knowledge of what stuff I have in a ship with information on where I can sell it ? So a list of stuff to sell with a possible sale location and discount indication.
Also its anoying to buy something say @ say -5% and hours later you can't remember what discount you bought at --- so you don't know at what premium you need to sell at so as not to make a loss .... duh ....
So included in the list of stuff I have to sell should be the discount at which I bought !!
Easy to explain but can this be done ? -- maybe a group of modders can use your menu scritps to build this menu ??
