But other than that, it's completely safe, it won't corrupt your save or anything.
I'm not sure but I think that without those lines you either can't place books in the world or they wont have models if placed in the world.
So I went through the mods I have that modify anything related to books and Yours was the only one that touched the "items_literature.txt" file. When I compared your "items_literature.txt" file with the game file I saw that yours does not have any of the code for the mechanics Books/Magazines but the game file does.
Then I saw that you have the code for the mechanics Books/Magazines in the "vehiclesitems.txt" wich I also compared to the game file and it does not match either.
So i'm guessing that the architecture of the game has changed recently.
Should be an easy fix. I'll try to fix this for myself while I wait for you to update.
Great mod by the way, a lot more balanced that most of the other reading mods I've tryed.
at new server, only add faster reading mode, same trouble happened
