Last year's patch that broke so many portrait mods still affects it.
I respectfully put myself to try to bring it back and here's the result:
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3498432351
I'll remove if that's RohmZilla's wish.
I found this advice elsewhere. I'm posting it here in case it helps:
In mod/common create 2 new folders portrait_sets and portrait_categories, each should have a .txt file speciesname_foldername, this is in addition to the species_classes folder
species_classes - only required when making new modded categories (ie not human, mamalian, etc.)
delete everything in this file except:
classname = {
archetype = ""
possible = ""
graphical_culture = ""
move_pop_sound_effect = ""
speciesname_portrait_set - Syntax
speciesname = {
Species_class = |speciesclass| (vanilla or modded)
portraits = {
"|portraitgroup|" (quotes required, found in mod/gfx/portraits/portraits .txt file under portrait_groups
}
}
speciesname_portrait_categories - Syntax
speciesname| = {
name = |speciesclass|
sets = {
|portraitgroup| (no quotes)
}
}
To let you know.
Just noticed female portrait #2 and male portrait #27 are not shown in the empire creation window. Instead it shows you the previous/next portrait.
That does not break the game, at least not for me, but I'm curious to know what those portraits should look like. The rest are very nice.
If you read this and can take a look, thank you very much in advance.
If not, thanks anyway for gifting us this beautiful species mod
