This has been compatible with manual weapon pickup since 2021, so if something broke recently, it is most likely GMod's fault

Checked now if an update didnt break it, but seems to be working fine for me. I suspect an addon that somehow interferes with rendering the mask.

the gasmask seems to fade away instantly when using your flashlight for me, not sure why this is happening but yeah

Sadly I don't mod GMod anymore, so thats a no from me. If at some point I feel like revisiting my older addons, I could look consider updating them to be compatible with some things. It is highly unlikely for this to happen anytime soon tho, but not impossible.

(I'm talking about the damage that happens when a poison headcrab makes its mark)
Some authors use poison/acid damage for gas instead of DMG_NERVEGAS

No idea, that line gets the weapon itself, which should exist unless the addon got corrupted during download (highly unlikely but probably possible), or the weapon didnt get registered for some other reason
