As Aboburice asked, is it possible to disable certain resprites? For some rep bosses, I might want to use a different resprite mod, but I still want neko versions of all the others. The only other way I can see would be to make separate mods for all of the neko repentance bosses, but I understand that could be a tedious task.

Easily, his face is overlaid on top of his body so that it moves differently to his body, but only sometimes, and when he's doing his spin animation, they're on completely different parts of the sprite sheet. Getting the ears to spin with the body took many, many iterations. Might have been easier to edit his anm2 or whatever but Idk how to do that, all I know how to do is edit sprites
