personally i never had lag maybe its just my PC

Yes it does lag even with a RTX2080 with Ryzen 7. I did not want to compromise on building this map. However future missions will have less stuff on the map. Cradlehorn 2 is in the workshop and it runs smooth as butter.

At some point I will simplify the map and see if it runs better. Wanted to see what HWR was capable off, and it is pretty good for starting out developers to make a space game showcase ideas and stories.

i understand you want to build it the way you want but with all the settings set either to low or off its lagging to the point of being unplayable.

the map lags incredibly hard. what video settings are you using?

My rig is.
nvidia GTX 970
Ryzen 7 2700X
32gb ram
NVME 2tb drive for games.

No worries... You did find out that saved games wipe the recall function. This ought not to happen. I design this mod to play in one session, so I cap mission time at around 70min on future episodes. Thanks for input and would like you and Oisin to test play CradleHorn 2... Hoping to upload in a couple of days.

just did a full restart of the game redownloaded the mod and all is working not sure what happend with it but its working just fine at mo must have been a bugged download its only thing i can think of as to why its working now thank you

every time i load up the save the recal has been wiped clean ive done everything upto the point of finding the dreadnaught recage but what i remember it was something about going to the negron supply station to look for the dreadnaught ive tryed moving the shipayard away and then returning it but so far no luck in getting the next part :( im loving the mod other than just that 1 part for me seams to b bugged :(

OK. Will play test and see what is happening. You have the Buttress so the next phase is to dock with shipyard and hyperspace to the research station, UN-ZEGRA on the map in the negron expanse. You can use hyperspace to get there. check the recall to see objectives. tell me what the last line is, this will let me know where the issue might be. Good to have you play testing this. New mission soon.

still not working i even brought over the buttress to the station cant get much closer to the station with shipyard i put the shipyard right on top of the station ive had it just below the top part were what looks like scaffolding is and nothing :(

Negron supply station...

Shipyard needs to be at Negron supply station. This should trigger PDA Buttress (Marine frigate) to appear next to the station. You should then be asked to dock Buttress with salvager and go into the Negron expanse to look for the dreadnaught. If this has not happened make sure that shipyard is as close to the station as you can get. If still not working let me know I shall investigate.

cool so now i think i found a bug not sure though might just b me missing something but ive moved the shipyard and the 2 transports to the negron supply station to look for the dreadnaught but nothing happens ive got scouts and probs all round the station and nothing am i missing something ?

This mod is not death match or multi player. Start HWR main menu goto extra missions and select CradleHorn. This mod is a scripted mission for you to complete. Enjoy!

mod keeps crashing when i try and run the death match ( human VS CPU ) ive recently redownloaded this mod as not played it for a while and every race i try gets to about 90% loaded and crashed giving me access violation

I think that I have taken this demo as far as I can. The only bit left unfinished is for the player to make the jump gate to another mission. Will look into adding that, need to remember if I can still script it.

Load mod from mod launcher as a HW REM mod. Do not run with any other mod. Launch game - in main menu – extra missions- load campaign CradlHorn.

i cant this mod to work start loading a map in multiplayer and gets to about 80% then comes up with access violation :(

Nice to get your thoughts.

Pacing is tight as the demo is introducing a lot of ideas other than bashing the shit out of fleets.

Story driven narrative where the environment and purpose are cornerstones.
Motives and rewards for exploration, discovery and construction. I want the player to feel that they are treading new ground, vulnerable yet capable, the ability to operate independently and with purpose.

The level design can only take the player so far. In this case the story is fundamentally about an expedition into the inner rift and the keeper zones which would take many levels to flesh out properly.
Also pacing is going to be slower then say a multiplayer game as this is story driven single player game play.

I can stretch out or shrink timers and events in the demo if you feel they need adjusting.

V1.4 escalates the conflict between protectorate and the enclave whilst finding new opportunities to get to the next level.
