@Dafungaz i believe if you are moving (with continuous movement) while you open the kitchen door the teleport entity messes up and puts you back at your previously known location (being infront of the door). the solution would be to not move at all when opening the door, but if you do it on accident again there's an autosave to load from right when you enter the break room

@Metal Robb If you skim thru the video I posted below, does that give you any hints as to something you might have missed? Otherwise, have you tried loading an autosave. I tested this map pretty heavily and didn't have that issue ever.

I'm glad to continue seeing people enjoying the map! I plan to have the full release be a 2-3 hour long experience and release sometime early next year. In the mean time I'm working on another b-day surprise for one of my other friends, which will be a much shorter experience but will be out in about a months time.

A funny and fun map to play through; It's really refreshing to get vastly different gameplay from a single game.

i have updated the map and theoretically fixed the random crash (not the fryer basket one) please tell me if anyone experiences the crash after the update

if anyone has had the random crash (not the touching the fryer basket one) when only two customers were present at a time (and not three) please tell me!

okay after watching skummeh's video i'm pretty sure i know what the random crash is now, will be updating this soon with many bug fixes and some improvements!

This was pretty amazing in more ways than I can write here. I give some feedback early on and then I'm mostly silent as I'm beyond stressed trying to feed the customers.
Near the end though, I crashed to Steam Home as I was heading towards the switch to reset the donuts. My wife is addicted to Cooking Craze and is definitely going to try this one out soon.

@tug if you didn't know already the icing and fillings need to be held next to the donut for at least a second (which is why the pictures have 1 sec. written on them). also the boss is worth three customer points, preparing donuts before his arrival makes it easy to serve him on time.

adding icing and filling is suprisingly difficult, cant pass the 3rd stage no matter what i do

dude this map is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. not only have you recaptured the magic found in old gimmicky source engine maps but you also somehow made a fast food job fun. 10/10

an update on the crashes: i have found a theoretical solution for the touching the fryer basket crash, but it requires me to learn a program like blender so it might take me a while to apply the fix. as for the other random crash i don't have a clue what's causing nor do i have a reliable testing method to see if it gets fixed (as it's random).

Tried it again, and had another crash while serving about the 5th or 6th customer. Had a donut in hand about to place some pink frosting on it when the game locked up. I'm running the game on a i7-8700, 16GB RAM and GTX1070Ti with a Valve Index (90Hz refresh, Motion Smoothing on).

My crash occurred while moving the fryer basket. I may have placed the fryer basket up on the doughnut dispenser counter when it occurred, but cannot confirm.

As for anyone commenting about the crashes there are currently two that I am aware of. One is when a customer reaches the counter to place their order, which can cause a crash for some reason. The other is where you move the fryer basket and the game crashes (I think this happens in base hla with certain ragdolls in certain situations). I've tried my best to fix the customer crash but i still don't really know what is causing it, so the map may unfortunately have this crash present for a while as i try to find a proper solution for it :(

DUKNIN DONUT!

I encountered a bug at the part were your shift is supposed to start, the shift starts but I am unable to enter the kitchen as the kitchen door is locked, yet the music is playing and customers are coming in.

What an absolutely bonkers level! Playing 'doughnut chef' within the HL:A universe while seemingly violating numerous copyrighted IPs was just what I needed.
Unfortunately, I did not get very far in the game, because either the timer ran out, or the game crashed when serving my 7th customer. I'll try it again later, and see if it repeats itself.
Major thumbs up for the Peter Griffin stage; it made my frigging morning.
