Not an issue (been asked and answered many times). You can disassemble/dismantle the Solar Panels once deployed, you can only destroy with a sledge or pickaxe.

Unable to dismantle with screwdriver. Is this a known issue?

Items despawning in DayZ is ALWAYS related to issues with Types.xml

hmm, on The Labs server. Connected truck battery to solar panel. Connect cable reel to solar panel. As soon as I do this cable reel is taken out of my hands and on the ground. Pick cable reel up to move to location and it says "Plug in" or "Connect" again. Is this mod broken?

I have done all that i believe is required, added truck battery with a wire and connected, but there does not seem to be an on switch, so after connecting a cable reel and then connecting to a construction light there seems to be no power on switch to make it work. Please help as I had this mod 1 year ago on my private server and it worked perfectly. Thanks in advance

I started playing the game about 2 months ago. I play on a private server with my cousin and we just have fun with PVE. We agreed to not use mods and enjoy the game as is, but then I saw this and it's a must have. The structure is so beautifully made and a great idea to have in the game. Thanks so much for the time and effort you've put into this.

Hi Red Falcon so I went up to purchase the models for the kit and it is not their anymore or at lease I could not find it if you would add me to steam friends I sent you a request so we can talk but if you want I can make you a nice one based off the original that you had in youre mod and that way it is yours and you control it I would be happy to make it no strings attached My only issue is I only know how to make it and texture in blender and apply the texture

Im sorry i didnt mean to offend you, i wasnt trying to carve anything out, i just would liked to of included your mod in my map with no dependencies, and obviously giving credit to you for allowing this. Thank you anyway, i shall look for an alternative :(

Sorry, if you want to do that you will need to purchase the model from the original artist (rather than carving it out of my mod)

No not repack for a server, i am building a dayz map and would like to use the solar panals as static cosmetic map items only. My map is due to be released next year.

You can certainly use my mod on your server (that's what it's here for). I made this back when I allowed repacks so you can, but the question is, should you? Repacking mods servers absolutely no purpose and detaches you from any future updates.

It is crafted from a kit. Neither the kit nor the solar panels can be created from just loot items

I noticed the panel kit is marked as 'crafted' in the types file...I don't suppose there is a crafting recipe for the kit itself, so that players can build their own kits (vs server owner having to add them to loot pool, trader, etc)?

dismantling completely destroys the item. please consider changing it to recoverable.

kinda confused why it wont locate or load the mod, Im getting idea its looking for Solar instead of the entire mod name

System works fine, big fan! I got a little problem with Cable Reel. Lifetime set on 40 days but despawning after 2 days (with flag active) any solution for that? :)

I've tried everything to get this to work, watched videos. Any help is appreciated. Setup kit in sunlight, attached truck battery, attached cable reel, attached construction light as a test. Go up to solar panel and it gives me a prompt to turn on, but it doesn't actually turn on. Test with construction light on/off and no light coming out of construction light.

My Solar panel wont turn on or give power. Battery is connected. Other devices on generator work fine.

The battery is just there to make the system work, it doesn't act as a battery recharger

Does the panel charge non-fully charged truck batteries that are attached to it?

Of course, just configure your Types.xml to spawn the kit as any other loot item.

Is it possible to have the Solar panel (box) spawn in (incase you dont have a trader on your server)

@Guardian So....no update needed for 1.21, mod works fine. Items despawning or not being under 'flag protection' is always related to types.xml and the lifespan relationship to your flag refresh frequency.

is this mod being updated to 1.21 and anyone who can help it get protected by flag on namalsk please

You want to spawn the kit, not the solar panel, and yes once deployed solar panels can't be 'disassembled' only destroyed with a sledge or pickaxe

I've got solar panels spawning in military barrics but they are fully assembled and can't pick them up or break them down ??

please do, it would be so helpful, specially for base lighting, my server follows realtime, so nights are long and harsh, a easy lighting solution that doesnt require 300 generators would be lovely, no rush however, i know mods can take a while

There were part of BaseBuildingPlus, but after 2.0 they were moved to the 'items' mod with other things that they didn't want to support anymore. I need to create some power strips for this mod for sure.

Question, where are the power strips mentioned in the description, Ive tried looking and havent been able to find them
