Great mod, but I want to encourage you to not advertise for PETA if you really care about animals. PETA is a terribly corrupt organization. Only a a tiny fraction of what you give them actually goes to help animals. Nice mod, works great. One thing you might want to consider is to remove the "male only" check, just in case people have unlocked women as generals via a mod or something. Also, hehe, found an fun little thing, "♥♥♥♥ putin".

added a new death reason. Died at military campaign if you are dying from natural causes while having this Army Leader trait.

I was leading armies in The Old Gods and my leader was not getting this trait. Does it not work for pagan rulers or The Old Gods?

you should make this trait give you a regent because there is no sense behind being half a continenet away on a crusade and still being able to pay your maid or whatever regents do :p

I know this might be an odd idea, but I think that when you are leading the army only those with you should get the +opinion. That would mean those left at court would use this time to plot further against you, as that happened quite often. So it would make you hesitant about always leading an army, so the trai would work by "+" opinion to those who share the trait, and either nothing or a "-" for those who don't. Just a thought and suggestion take it or leave it your choice.

P.S. Alternatively you could also take a hit to stewardship since it is harder to manage a demnse when leading then it is from your central point. This could also be in addition to the change I suggested above.

Louis IX took his pregnant wife and his whole family (except of his mother) to the crusade for Jerusalem. And that crusade take him 6 years. So it´s quite possible to have your wife with you on some little campaign, although it might be uncommon.
