Perhaps my game was just cursed - but even without any of the hints, everything was perfectly obvious for me. I never got stuck even once. These maps were made very well in my opinion!

Odd, I need to check if any P2 updates since 2021 broke anything.. the hints are used to hide one or two directioning mistakes, but they also double as a "robot vision" thing wich i really like.

I find it funny that the hints just completely broke on me, as they would only exist for barely 1-2 frames before vanishing permanently, yet I still managed to play the entire series without a single issue.

Oh, I don't specifically mean your use of the gameinstructor - I mean the built in controls tips, etc.

Repeatedly telling a player with over 2,000 hours in-game how to zoom, how to place portals, stop bouncing, etc. is ridiculous. That's not your fault, that's on Volvo to fix an 11-year old bug.

As for the playermodel, I don't think I've ever had trouble with it reverting the player back to Chell (or the ridiculous "Bendy"); I too use P-Body for my maps and it seems to stick after using a single onMapSpawn command.

I absolutely agree you can't please everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed the map though even without the instructor messages.

Thanks for playing, but the instructors are working as intended (within the engine limmitations anyways...) thruought the maps, "not liking it" although understandable, is not enough for me to see it as "broken", I like using them, so they ain't going away, all the maps have a "hints on" warning, for players to be aware of it's presence tho.

Everything has a reason, once you die the playermodel resets to default, as far as I know, is something hardcoded into the engine... I haven't found any other way aside looping the coommand to circumvent that problem, maybe with vscripting, but I ain't skilled on it unfortunatelly, so I need get by with the tools I have lel.

I undestand that not everyone will like this choices, but I can't please everyone, all I can offer is a sorry for them to have affected your playthough.

Another great map to finish off this bunch.

Although, let down by your hard-on for the gameinstructor yet again. To the point that I ended up having to kill your @command entities.

Not only is the gameinstructor extremely broken, but you also don't need to repeatedly set the playermodel. Once is enough.

use quicksave before the choices at the end then quickload to see all of them

I seriously loved this map series, and the part at the end where you can choose your own ending is certainly unique! I've never seen it been done before.
I personally chose to leave but I might replay just to see the other endings.
Good job to all the people who worked on this small map series, I really loved it!

@Killjoy I found out the issue, it happens when you have P2 at low settings, but it's not exclusivelly because of it, I believe I fixed the issue, and probably will be pushing sometime in the future.

@susman (and others), I beieve I might have nailed down the crashing problem to an optimization issue, I am attempting to see what can be done about it and probably will be pushing an update on it along with that previous one, I do not know if it will fix it for everyone having the issue, but I hope that it makes things smoother for some of you.

I unfortunatelly do not know what is different between this cases and the others that run the map fine without crashes (which seems to be the majority), without any reference (a video would be great, if you could kindly provide it I would be rly grateful) on what is happening to see what you might be doing to cause it, or if it is something with your portal 2 installation, your computer or if it really is just the map itself, there is not much I can do, sry dude.

I love it but it keeps crashing at the end. I even no cliped and I cant get past the part that crashes my game pls fix.

The attention to detail... Amazing! All of it was great! Another favorite. :steamthumbsup:
And, I don't think I've ever seen a more beat up, dinged out, shot up and dirty companion cube before. Kudos to whoever did the texture work on that.

Part 4 still crashes the game for me. When I walk holding the cube it doesn't crash but as soon as I drop it the game crashes.

The cube disappears if I walk away from it and reappears if I walk close to where I left it. Was that intentional?

Absolutely amazing! I love the idea and to be honest i might make it my personal head cannon..I loved the mapping too, Also i find it funny that your update was only 3 hours ago which shows you are still doing stuff! I would love to see more from you!

Update everyone, hope things now are a bit smoother.

-fixed trigger placement in ending 3
-changed elevator area to better accommodate navigation.
-fixed death fall when trying to enter the elevator on the cube ride
-fixed camera enabling looking up on the cube ride
-change fizzler pwr src analysis to door pwr src analysis for better gameplay
-improved truss white wall area to draw more attention
-attempt to improve container ride experience
-disabled turret push-back

This series was awesome! The idea is very cute and clever- The puzzles aren't difficult, but the mapping is beautiful. Also, it's my first time seeing custom voicelines in a Workshop map, and they were really great!

@sam 15.ai is down for some months now, I wanted to use but i just rly got bored of waiting coming back, if possibe i might switch to it in the future.

@psy any chance you are on linux or using -vulkan?, if not try lowering graphics, i'll investigate the issue after solving the issue with my monitor.

This is such a great series! I love the story and how it's incorporated into the canon. The GLaDOS voice is just okay I feel, it gets the job done. It would be nice if it could've used some of the really accurate AI voices like 15.ai which replicates characters but it's not a big deal. Very clever all around, I enjoyed it a lot :steamthumbsup:

I really liked it, there is at least an original plot here, and even glad that it exists at all, roughness is visible, but this is nothing. My main pritenzy why is everything so bad in the first ending? It could have been more beautiful
