Thanks for everything you have given this community. Arguably the best creator in CS and the game will be infinitely poorer with your departure. You always made some of the best Japanese assets too, so it's a real shame. Thanks for being the bigger person and keeping all of your old work up. Sucks that idiots have to bring politics into this source of joy for a lot of people and this is why we can't have nice things. A certain group of hypersensitive Yanks will always play the race/victim card for anything that offends them even in the slightest way. They do it IRL and they do it on the internet. Hope you find something else that makes you happy and if you ever open a patreon tons of us will love to support you.

I hope you reconsider and continue posting the content that you create. We all are subject to Gabe's Giant Thumb (or whatever other Power That Is) but rarely feel it. And, after all, it was a Noose asset that drew the banhammer, not something like the masterpiece above. Don't get me wrong, fine work as nooses go....but it's just a frayed knot.

So.....I get why you're upset -- I don't think it takes a degree in psychology to see how this is upsetting to someone who has created so many various things and all at such a high caliber.....

...Still, there must be a part of you that recognizes what a Noose asset would undoubtedly be used for -- ending-up in screenshots and on other sites such as Twitch or YouTube in ways that are overtly hateful and even threatening.

I do not agree with the removal of it but I don't disagree with it, either. At the very least it should have been done in communication with you to convey the reasoning behind it and to seek consensus, especially with you as the creator.

I recall when this was published and the furor around it, but I don't believe it was done with malice. It would fit right-in with my Old West Frontier style. Heck, macluk made medieval stocks and gallows and those haven't been removed.

It is the specific, racial and hate filled history of the noose as a tool of lynching that is at the heart of the removal of the item, and while that may not have anything whatsoever to do with your intention, it could be a consequence that would reflect poorly on all of us.

That said, there is no limit to how someone can use the WS to create vile images and post them online, so it's beyond whack-a-mole to try to police the content this way and I think it was done poorly, not least because it pissed-off one of the community's greatest creators.

Censorship and intolerance stifling creativity is a sign that ♥♥♥♥ is going downhill fast. I was genuinely upset to find the noose was removed the workshop and don't blame Ronyx at all for his departure - I actually encourage it. He's responsible for his own actions, but the mentality of the people that helped drive him to this is repugnant.

Not sure what's the drama story was about but yeah, sometime people come screw with us, or the platform come screw with us, and it just felt too darn depressing to continue. Practically going to happens sooner or later on any modding games. At the end of the day I just keep telling myself "who cares what they say, as long as I get my paycheck" to get over it. Hopefully you able to find your peace through whatever these storms. I'm jealous of what you can do at such young age, but thanks for your contribution to the community, as always.

I've never commented on any of your assets, but I felt like I need to do so on this one because:
1. Your work is always amazing and is very much appreciated! AND
2. I hate that the minority can do things like what was done. This community has been amazing for a long time, however, there are those that seem to just want to be negative and because of those actions we're losing one of the best creators in the community! I hate that, but I completely understand. Thank you again for the work you've done!

@Ronyx, so sorry to see you go, you will be missed, along with your amazing eye for detail and resulting fine art. I can appreciate how toxic and entitled individuals spoil the fun every time and ultimately turns a hobby into stressful work, which Cities Skylines should never become for anyone.

Know that your works are loved and appreciated by many and that you were part of the core group of people that has made CS grow into its own. It is literally because of folks like you this game has had the longevity it has. As you walk away, walk away with your head held high mate. I hope you find another hobby that is fulfilling and there is no gap. You deserve it after your dedication to something you do not get paid to share publically.
