You probably added it after starting a new game. You have to add it before you start a new game. If you add it after you've started then you have to go to a Medical Bay and Change your Astronaut Suit (switching from male to female and then back work best) in order for it to reset your character's stats.

@sarnath1 If Starting a New Custom game you click on the "Advanced" button and you can change the settings there for Suit Inventory Size.

If loading an already existing Save click on your save then click "Edit Settings" in there you should also see "Suit Inventory Size"

Is there a setting that determines how big the inv is? If so, how do you set it it?
