I need a new starter on RE2 . This is the right size with a good upgrade path. I will take into creative to see if all ok. Plus its got a great look too.

Moonz3r of you press "p" it'll bring up a menu screen. The category in the middle should read "groups" You'll find the toggle there.

Websterhamster, the blocks with the X marked on them are hidden. If you remove a couple of the blocks in the area next to the shield generator bay it will expose them.

Great ship. One question: In the hangar bay, it says to remove plastic blocks marked with an "X" to add cargo extenders. Which blocks are these? There are no blocks thus marked that I can see.

You state "For recommended upgrades, open the “P” menu and toggle the upgrades button to on."; where is this button located?

Newb question...how do I get the T2 extenders installed? They don't seem to fit in the space? Do I need to remove blocks?

This is a fine vessel that did a great job of carrying us and our SVs around for a long time. We upgraded as we looted goodies and now that we're ready to upgrade we intend to keep it around as a backup HQ. Highly recommend.

Boss_Angler, there's a trick to it that isn't really documented anywhere. What you need to do is take your multitool and set it to the rotate block mode. Then if you shoot the multitool at the window, it will change the tint. You can do this with all windows in fact.

So... I accidentally took out one of the large Windows on the bridge (left side). How in the world did you install them so they are "backwards" and also include a block behind them? When I try to replace the window it is always clear while the pre-installed ones are tinted. The only way to place it is using the block space behind, but that spot should have an angled block to hide the warp drive. Help!

Krazywulf1983 I don't think it really needs an update for RE1.7. The ship is designed to be upgraded as you go. I'm using it right now as my main ship.

is this getting update for 1.7 or move on to endurance and use this as starter steping stone to mid game?

Carnoth, I'm glad you're enjoying the ship! The gravity generator is hidden in the wall behind the advanced constructors. It's possible it was destroyed if you have no gravity.

This ship is amazing! Standard version handled a bit sluggish, but once you get some bigger thrusters in it, she is very quick and responsive for a CV. Love the huge hanger and your upgrade instructions were very easy to follow. I upgraded the hull to hardened steel, upgraded CPU to T4, added some O2 and fuel tanks, and loaded up on turrets. The design is a pleasure as everything is close together.
I also like that the bridge is not exposed. Had a level 3 drone base chew a big hole out of the ship before I finished the upgrades but because of the bridge placement I was able to fly it back to the repair bay. Didn't even know I had the gaping hole until I got back to base. (It shot out the area where the 4th container controller and extensions can go)
I do have one question though. The above equipment list, lists a gravity generator but I didn't see it on the devices list, and there is no gravity when in space. Just wondering.

For anyone who struggled to install the XL Thrusters upgrade on the underside of the Intrepid, I finally figured out how to do it. Once you remove the 3x3 underside of the ship you have to remove a light that is in the way that is on a side panel with a piping texture and, on one side of the ship there is also an LCD projector floating in mid-air that is in the way. Then you have to dig a hole under the spot for your drone to get in to look up and place the drive.

Dadrick, I am really loving this ship. I've tricked it out completely including three drills and spotlights on the nose for mining asteroids, upgraded the outer hull to hardened steel, and installed horizontal auto-hatches on the roof over the elevators in case I want to quickly go EVA in space. And, of course, covered it with turrets of various sorts. Thank you so much for designing it! I am in awe of your aesthetic skills!!!

This is a great ship especially for level 10 access and not a heavy req't for resources. Neo can be had at the traders otherwise you can harvest everything else.I really like the original design as you can upgrade easily with all the space provided. The only thing I had to change was putting the cockpit up front so I can see out but that's just a personal preference. I immediately upgraded the blocks around the warp tank and drive but that's an easy fix and then stuck a shield in it later. 5 stars on a job well done Dadrick. This is now my go to starter CV !

Now that I have used this for a while I will say that I believe that It is an Outstanding design for a starter CV certainly useful to mid game if not end game. I have done only minor upgrades and changes mostly to add additional grow pots and the addition of more fuel tanks. I will probably add more and heavier weapons but I would not want that in the blueprint as then it would be hard to build as my starter CV. There are a few CV designs that use less resources but they are only useful to get you to another area to collect the resources needed to build a really useful CV. With this design you can start off with a Really Useful CV. It may take some effort to collect enough Neodymium to build it but it is well worth the extra effort to have a CV that you don't have to scrap almost immediately. GREAT JOB Dadrick

This is a great ship for upgrading. However one issue I had pretty quickly was that it has zero armor. I had a couple missiles hit me as I was trying to pass by an enemy ship, and they blew several holes into the nose of my ship and decompressed the hangar. The problem is that it's entirely made from regular steel blocks, and there no hardened steel at all.

Normally on smaller ships I would just manually upgrade all the armor, but this ship has over 1,600 steel blocks. So if someone wants to upgrade everything, it would be extremely time consuming.

I ended up using the "replaceblocks" command. Just replace all the HullFullLarge and HullExtendedLarge with HullArmoredFullLarge and HullArmoredExtendedLarge. It'll mess with the paint job textures a little, but you'll have all hardened steel blocks.

If you don't want it to feel "cheaty", it would have cost about 9500 titanium rods so you can just toss them in the trash to make it like you had to actually spend it.

This is a fantastic ship and easily upgrade-able. Love the design - and most of all, no wasted space for grow plots! Also good that the exterior is steel and interior is carbon blocks - so you can easily do a replaceblocks in creative to upgrade the hull.

Hey captainkiddsc, with this ship you have to fly it in third person view. While you're sitting in the control seat, press the "V" button to activate third person mode.

Mysteronia, the two ships definitely have a very similar layout. This one though is designed as a starter that can be upgraded into a T4 ship. Fully upgraded, it can easily act as a heavy lifter CV for transporting HVs to high G planets. If that's something you're interested in. ;)

Great design, Dadrick, I always love using your ships in Vanilla and Reforged Eden. At the moment, I'm using the Eclipse Pikeman as a starter CV, while in my last Reforged Eden run, I used the Eclipse Lance.
