for me the mod says if i want to repair my ship that i don't have a resource chest on my ship what do i have to do to make the mod work

Hey there! Just curious, but will the repairs work on fully destroyed planks as well as damaged parts?

@Welveryn, that seems odd that this mod would be doing that, since it should not be changing ship levels at all. Generally if you have issues with ships not leveling up past certain points, it's due to server settings affecting max dino level or your ship xp ramps.

has anyone had any issue with leveling ship? I recently added this mod and now ships that I have added this mod too maxes out at lvl 6 and I can not level past that. I just built a new ship and did not place this mod on it and the ship is now lvl 56. any ideas what could be going on?

@Charles, it won't work unless the header is there. Make sure when you edit it, the game is fully closed. If it's still getting removed, you may need to set the ini file as read-only.

I made some INI changes and every time I start my game it removes the header [ShipRepairCrew] and merges the lines into whatever is above it. In my case [ItemGrinder]. Is that ok? will it still work?

Hi Melons, I think I figured out what was happening with the crew levels not working. It seems that your mod conflicts with the mod battle stations for some reason, even though that mod does not alter crew levels in any way. When I put ship repair crew above battle stations in the mod list, it works as intended but battle stations no longer works haha

@Speedaemonc4, Since a galleon has so many parts, one podium might struggle to keep up unless you reduce the repair interval. Changing it from 15 seconds to 5 seconds would provide the same repairing as having three podiums activated at once (RepairInterval=5.0). There is actually an old config that will keep the repair podium running constantly until manually turned off. I haven't tested it in a while so I'm not 100% if it's working correctly but you can give it a try: DontUnseat=True

First of all, Thank you for this mod, its the only mod that allows the entire single player mode of the game to be viable, without it you will absolutely sink not that far into the game. I did have a question, I am looking at cranking up difficulty on SP mode and taking my galleon out for a spin. Normally I keep the repair podium right next to me so i can swap off the wheel, hit the rep, then get back to steering. Is a single podium able to repair a galleon or it absolutely takes 3? Also is there something I could add to the ini that would make it repair constantly or on toggle without needing to be hit every time i take another salvo? Thanks again!

ah, that's strange. I have not heard of that happening before. I can look into it though to see if I can replicate it, and if so see if there's anything I can do for it. It won't be for a little bit though, am super busy at the moment and unfortunately have very little free time.

Thanks for the super fast response. Is odd. I have MaxCrewLevel=650 and as soon as I recruit something around 300 and they touch the ship they disappear. Any ideas what would cause that?

@Pte Partz. No, you don't need to create any overrides. The mod config will stop them from poofing.

With the max crew level, you would need to already have the overrides in place to allow them that high otherwise they go poof?

@nismo1969, yeah sorry about the crashing. I had no idea it was having any issues until the other day, otherwise I would have fixed it sooner.

@Kasjo, it does repair modular ships by default with normal materials (though there is the bug that it won't always work). The update is almost ready (aiming for the next few days), in addition to some fixes I'm also adding some new features that I think everyone will enjoy :)

One Question. Does the mod repair modular ships default with standard resurces instead of repair kist? An how is the update going?

Ah could be that. Yeah im using a modded Gallone form Fugurehad essentials.

I'm currently working on an update for this mod, I was able to find an issue with the modular ship repairing. Looks like it was only recognizing the generics of each material (base wood instead of softwood/pine etc).

Same on me. Have every material in the resurce box. As a admin a spawned them all in. So im just guessing that may this msg. comes also wen the ship is full repaired? May a bug? Also, maybe its its bugges like the trading system because of the Material name change from devs. Dont know. But i think its becaus eeverything is repaird allrdy.

@NobodyNoOne, There are a couple things that can be happening. Sometimes the inventories need to get refreshed (you can do this by taking it out and putting it back in). Another thing is there could be some item on your ship that may need a resource you don't actually have in the inventory. Are there specific parts of the ship that are not being repaired to help narrow down your specific problem? Or is everything getting repaired as far as you can tell?

Hello, I like the idea of your mod very much, but I keep getting the message, insufficient material, even though everything is in the box and also in the podium. I have a cog and a tramp freighter

@[GOTR] Dr3x Ozzy, it’s possible a recent update broke it, the last time I tested that feature was about 2-3 weeks ago. When I get home from vacation I’ll take a look at it. It does not use patch kits though, just resources, to repair the modular ships.

Ship Repair Podium isnt taking resources or patch kits from resource box or podium to repair the new ships like the Cog

This may be stupid, but I'm looking to edit the configs and in my .ini file I don't have a header for this mod, or any mod really. I started the game with the mods loaded to see if that would change anything and it didn't. Do I need to add that header myself if i want to change any of the default configs?

yeah i think my host is a little slow to upload updates on mods.

It's because the mod updated yesterday and Steam has been very bad about auto updating mods for players. Make sure your server actually has the updated version and you as well. A lot of people have to unsubscribe then resubscribe to a mod to force it to download the update. Is an unfortunate thing that happens to all mods that update...not just this one.

this mod just decided to cause my server to not run. literally went threw each mod removing one at a time today and this was the one that did it. was working fine yesterday. not sure what happened. when trying to get on it said the mod was out of date and wouldn't even allow the server name to come up on search list.

It was the mod NPC Pirates. After getting rid of that mod, and reinstalling the map, I now see the repair podium in the skill tree.
