just thinking that stones packed in wood, might be easier to see (as currently) than stones packed in stone materials - though there are lots of other materials from mods.
i seem to remember seeing a mod (maybe 1-2 months ago) that was able to make everything "stuff"able, so it might be that there already is a way to make these using different materials, without any more coding being needed.
(rimmsqol might be able to do it, and the In-Game Definition Editor maybe too)
Might be useful to crack open a mod that has that feature and see what's inside?
