@bloxxer, the new maps just need my map base anymore. The old maps will get no more updates so far, but they will get converted too the new map system.

Ya'll wrong, you do not need L4D or L4D2. you need CSS- Counter Strike Source, and not CSGO, thats rarely used for maps.

I typed "mat_specular 0" and it worked for me.

Every time you load up the game or go to the pause menu, you see an icon on the bottom right corner that has a game controller on it. Clicking that will show a list of all Source games that can be mounted on Gmod. The games that are highlighted are the ones you have. You can mount a game by simply clicking the check box next to the game title.
