In what way? It doesn't redistribute mods, it's a collection of UUIDs and the JSON files in which they are defined. I don't see how Axolot is involved in this at all, besides creating the need for this mod to exist.

It has 2196 updates because it's the only way for mods to know which mods are active in the save file. Every time someone uploads or updates a new mod, the mod database as to be updated to include the new mod/update.

It's not even 9 MB, and less when sent over the network due to compression. It probably updates because you're subscribed to it. Try unsubscribing.

Why does it make me download it every time i load into the game? it's very annoying because I am not a mod maker and I don't need it, and also when the disk is full it just cant download it and just gets stuck and I can't play. And I also wonder HOW it can make me automatically download it without my permission, and even when i'm still subscribed to it.

I downloaded this mod every time I logged into the game, but at one point it couldn't download and wrote "Error Code 2" and after that all user games broke down. That's what's changed: 1)The lines of hunger, thirst and health are gone.
2) CraftBot doesn't work.
3) Boxes and trees do not break.
How can I fix it?

Someone made a virus targeting users of 00Fants mods, it was made to look like the ModDatabase and copys itself into the dependencies of other mods descripton files

Antivirus software only catches known viruses, the worm you got infected with is new and didn't do anything harmful. It makes sense your antivirus didn't catch it.

You have to fix that yourself. I cannot help you with it. Reinstalling your game or getting it to redownload your mods will fix it.

It's probably the worm thing yeah. Redownloading all your workshop items is the easiest way to fix it I think yeah.

for people coming here to say this got their mods corrupted, there was a worm that was spreading around that recently got deleted from the workshop, delete the workshop folder for SM (folder named 387990) and verify your files, steam should then redownload all mods without the worm

This mod is just a dependency. You don't have to manually install or subscribe to it. If you want to use the fant mod, you'll have to use the Fant Mod Custom Game. If you want to play normal survival mode with modded recipes, you'll have to get the Modded Craftbot Recipes custom game.

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. It's a database that contains all mods. Other mods on the workshop are able to use it to see which mods are used in your world, and which parts they have.

If you're looking for a list of mods that add custom crafting recipes, there is no automated list for that, as the database doesn't keep track of that. A handmade list can be found on the workshop page of the "Modded Craftbot Recipes" Custom Game.
