After hours of farming i manage to create a juicy 60cm Karl, i shoot with it aaaaand... the shell disapear mid air :c, any tips to get the promised super explosion ?

This is a fantastic mod, but I have a slightly odd request. Do you intend on ever adding some medieval cannons like serpentines and bombards?

I hope this gets 1.4 as well, mod author seems to at least be online on steam from time to time, but steam modders tend to have busy lives.

this mod is usable in 1.4 with a simple fix. go to mod folder > Common > Defs > SoundDefs > Other.xml
and change all
<li Class="AudioGrain_Folder"> to <li Class="AudioGrain_Clip">
and
clipFolderPath to clipPath

Totally different topic: I recently noticed my game slowing to a crawl whenever any of my pawns starts using an autocannon turret. Pull them off the gun and the frame rate stabilizes immediately. Can't remember this happening in past games. Does anyone else experience this?

Composite Alloy can very rarely be purchased from merchants (emphasis on "very rarely", and even then only in tiny amounts). If you have extended mining mods, you may also be able to dig it up with deep drills. It's also sometimes offered as a quest reward.

@200 yes that would be nice, if the cannons would work with the zoning mechanics and only fire at things that are in the designated zone.

@retromix168 I'd recommend looking at the Google Spreadsheet that Fary provided above. It will tell you absolutely everything about all the types, ranges, abilities, etc.

I build some 88´s and they´re constantly missing the pikemen (fired like 40+ shots) despite capable pawns, some having 20 in shooting. Is it intended that they´re this useless?
