As of EA29, this mod still works.
The plasma gun is a good close quarters weapon, having high damage per shot. Its projectile spread is high, and it lacks iron sights to use ADS with. The projectiles move slowly, making the plasma gun less effective at long range.
The pistol is a reliable sidearm, being able to kill an enemy with 3 chest shots, or 1 head shot.
