Not working for me. Screen just goes black when trying to start a campaign

I have to many mechs in my hangar so I can't see the deploy button. Is there a way to like scroll down on the selection screen?

Does this still work on newest game version? I just want teh capability to have two lances

If you expect an honest answer don't have your hopes up, because Yrrot's no doubt under an NDA and could face legal trouble if they leak anything.

So you have been quite busy :D And how is it in the future? What can we expect? :) I am not asking for any ETA, just what could happen :) It makes me so sad that there are only MW games or I have to go to Battletech - not a bad game but I miss the RTS feeling.

The only news for the last year+ is I'm working for PGI and haven't really had the time to work on mods for Mercs. Had that whole "Ship two DLCs for Mercs and Mechwarrior 5: Clans" thing to do. :)

Makes me sad :( I hope the dev will continue and finish the work. On the other hand the new MW game already has a battlemap with giving orders to lance mates (sadly not to the main mech) so maybe he could take a look into that as well. Hope dies last so I will hope until the end :D

Yeah, i really need to redo a lot of it to make it work the right way. Lots of it was stuff that got hacked in early to make it work. Now that I'm working on the game full-time, I immediately know there's so much I did wrong. lol

Just wish you could either start in fps mode or if the mode switch worked without breaking movement or the command mech x.x;

It seems to work fine as long as you play in rts mode all the time. as soon as I switch to fps mode I cannot move with wsad. I have to bind the movement to different keys to be able to move which makes it awkward as hell, the fps non movement has been a known issue for a long time for you I think. maybe just disable wsad camera movement and just let us pan with mouse instead?

@Charlie I just don't have that much time. I'm working away on the next DLC for Mercs. :P

Can we get an update? I'd love to commission it if you need incentive.

@Juice Box It's been a long time since I've updated it and I'm not sure it's working on the latest game patch with or without DLCs.

Does this require the DLC's to work? I have only the core game and it doesn't work.

I'd like to be able to play the campaign with this, but starting fresh just locks into a black screen. Not sure if it's the fact that a dlc just dropped, it's something else, or I just need to be more patient.

Unfortunatley the evac zones are not showing up, so it´s impossible to end mission :( an update would be really cool!!

No (player) friendly fire will prevent it. The base game prevents AI lancemates from doing friendly fire to the player, at least. There's probably an edge case with mechcommander that causes the base game's logic to fail, but the no friendly fire mod should catch that. I thought it was baked into MCM...hmm...

Haha I see. I hope when there comes an update that could be done. It really is annoying :D is there any way (maybe even a compatible mod) to remove friendly fire? It`s like my complete squad encounters one enemy light mech and when they are done all are orange or red damaged - because they hit each other.

They were part of an experiment stub for a feature I was looking into (was planning to add a motor pool so you could gather support units like tanks to bring in). I just keep forgetting to remove the test logic that spawned them.

What is it about those tanks that always come with me in the beginning? Mostly my mechs run into them and they explode and my mechs get damage. Any way to disable them or make it impossible to stomp into tanks or at least there is no friendly fire/blast damage?

Oh that makes me sad. Without your mod I don´t want to play that game. But I wish you best of luck with your work :) Maybe at some point there will be good news here :)

Well, not much is going to get done on this for a long while. I'm doing some contract work for PGI that's taking up most of the time I (didn't) have for modding. :)

since you are the only one who has done a custom camera i would ask for MW3 style low leg camera

I just haven't had any time at all to keep up on it and add anything other than making it not completely crash with game updates. Life's just too busy to sink the time into modding right now.

Forgot to add in love the mod, pretty much play this style exclusive, unless its a mission where i have to gather things.

yrrot_7 is it ever going to be possible to be able to do the missions where you have to get crates on the ground or is the PGI coding preventing that still?
