Escaped Psycho not with this version you have to put the drill on top the ore for this version

Is there a depth limit? I'm using the Advanced Static Drill (or as I like to call it thumper) but cannot get it to drill Magnesium at a depth of 75.5m directly below two different Advanced Static Drill. It's just producing stone. I've used it to mine Nickel, Ice, Gold and Silver so far without issue. I've tried two different Magnesium deposits and moving the ASD multiple times and placing multiple ASDs... just yields stone. Anyone?

Does this mod still work. I placed right on top of a lake, but doesn't seem to mine any Ice.

This is a great mod, I only wish the models fit the game's artstyle better.

to convert it you can do it in an online editor, I have not touched this mod yet but saw the file conflict issues, if that is the only reason the mod doesnt work then its a SUPER simple fix i converted the audio files using an online editor at twistedwave com online

he is not updating this mod any more thats why we have other ones that are more updated with more functions

I have been enjoying this mod for many years. this last update to the game seems to made it unable to find gold though which is odd, I haven't found any other ore that it is struggling with.

is this mod broken? has stopped working for me even tho i had no problems before

Works on every Multi Player Servers i use them on just know anything past 300 range on the scan can get buggy so will not always find all the ore still been trying to find a better way to scan with out lag

Are the two access points on the rear of the advanced drill meant to work with conveyors? Or are they for show.

Still working, though sound only comes through one earphone. Might be a problem on my end but i fixed it by changing the mods sound files from stereo to mono using audacity. Had same problem with the mod "Bigger Explosions", did the same and it fixed it. Might be due to a game update.

@Simple Giant i been Wanting updated Models for the Drills but i cant do 3d models.

So as many know in space engineers ores spawn as different patches (Iron, Cobalt, Nickel etc.) How do I get a specific ore from that patch? It doesn't mine all of the ores underground, it just selects one and that's the one you're stuck with.

Can anyone give me some advice on properly placing the advanced static drills? It seems no matter how I rotate or adjust it, it never lines up with the connection points of my pipelines.

Not to be rude, but it states mines the ores below them, so it will me needing to be above the ore patch. It is not a just p[lace anywhere and it mines around itself. it just mines what is the first ore it finds underneath it. So your also boned if you are trying to mine a deeper more valuable ore.

It does not need to touch the ore in question just be placed above it, It does not (last i checked) deplete the ore vein, but its does take forever to get the ore instead, and uses a lot of power to compensate. It will not leave a hole that will be needed to fill in.

You are unable to place more than one miner per location as it will start to reduce the amount of ore it will gather. YES you can place speed modules on the advanced one to help speed it up as with a yeild to incresse output.

Nvm, i just had to put the drill directly on the ore (not above it but on it)

is there a limit to how many drills you can have? I've was trying to set up drills to harvest uranium and for some reason, the drills just didnt work, no matter where i placed them. My platinum mine only has 2 working drills. I have 30 solar panals and 2 batteries powering it, but it just doesnt work. any ideas?

Does this mod use up the ore vein or does it generate ressources passively based on close up ore veins?

It took me way too long to realize the static drill scaffold when it's not built had a color indicator to show if it worked or not

These aren't working on asteroids for me. I might have to mess with it more, but does anyone know if they don't work on asteroids?
