If it's a couple of minutes, yes. To prevent soft-locks in single player when handcuffing oneself, and to promote active security officers overseeing the prisoners.
If it's like 20 seconds or less without a lockpick or hairpin then it's a bug.

Truthfully I have no idea, I haven't opened this game in a while. Judging by the amount of current subscribers I'd assume that it works.
There was something in the latest changelogs about a rework in modded GUI elements, which could affect this mod because a checkbox should show up in the bottom of your screen to enable and disable the lockpicking action.

is this still working? can seem to get it to work, nothing happens when crouching and staying still with a lockpick in your inventory?

The lockpicks don't open doors and hatches at all.

Once translated you can send it to me an I will update the mod with the translation.
You can instead create your own translation mod, but that's a bit of a hassle.

Sure. You can either make your own translation mod or give me the translation file and I will include it in this mod in the next update.
Translation files are under the Texts directory, use the en_us.xml as template.

The hairpin can not. The lockpick can open anything a crowbar can.
