DO NOT USE IN CAMPAING!!

Mod breaks plot mission where you have to aproach the PMC station to create distraction for refugee ships escaping to DeVries. Heart Of Albion Arawn will not jump in, thus breaking the whole plot.

Workaround: Save game BEFORE going to Ascendancy sector, exit to main menu, alt+tab. go to users/name/Documents/Egosoft/X Rebirth/Steam ID/save. Backup your save just in case. Open the save in notepad (it will take some time). Find this mod, it is in the begining, and delete it. Save the file. After that, return to the game and unsub this mod. Then quit game and let Steam do sync. After that start the game again. If done right, you should be able to load the modified save file and continue with plot.

You can edit savefiles. You only need to edit them elsewhere, after you launch the game steam will restore them from cloud. Right after this happen, you can copy back your edited ones. You don't have to zip them, you can leave them as .xml. Empty the folder of course before you copy back your edited saves. I got rid of the mod with this way. Save files are in your user's Documents\Egosoft.

Would be nice to see a fix to the joint operations mission so people could play the plot. As of 4.0 you can't just deactivate. I have to go back and start over now and I'm none too happy about it. At least put a notice at the top of the page so people are notified ahead of time to this, apparently, well known issue...

if u wanna play the main Plot please activate this mod if u are finished this. u can´t change anything in the Savegame since 4.0 and HOL DLC...

I think it also breaks pretty much the ships AI, my destroyer is flying around the enemy fighters and can't kill a single one... removing this stupid mod

While this mod does not seem to break my save game, it does not clearly have an effect in version 3.53.

I have not tested super extensivly, I just didn't notice any difference when ordering my ships to chase down distant targets. (they should have boosted towards them).

This mod is causing an issue with the plot. The mission joint operation (the part where you have to fly to the unkown station) is stopping when you arrive at the station. To fix this issue you have to play this part without the mod. Means you have to disable the mod and delete it out of you save file. After this plot part you can reinstall the mod. Until know I could find any other issues.
Please thank various people in the community who narrowed the cause of this issue down and came up with this solution.

I figured out how to chop out the drone spawning code. I don't know how to use the Mod Tools to edit workshop mods for XR but you can also find this mod on Nexus and access the fight.attack.object.capital.xml file directly. This file is in the aiscripts folder in the main folder (named CDOAIO on nexus) of the mod after you extract it into X Rebirth>extentions.

Apparently, those at the egosoft forums have found a workaround to the tribble-spawning drone "congaline" problems. I just don't know how to do it exactly. Could someone repost a fixed version of this mod if the clj isn't able to or going to do it? Maybe at least post a guide as to how to delete the offending lines of code?

Confirmed to break the game over use - hundreds and thousands of drones get deployed but never recalled, you'll eventually get down to unplayable frames in these sectors until it just crashes upon nearing them. Uninstalling the mod will stop the spawning, but you'll have to manually destroy any drones spawned by it already to clear up some fps.

This mod will cause cap ships to spawn endless amounts of drones, which stays inactive in the sectors. The drones will keep spawning causing more and more lag and then eventually crash the game. If the mod is disabled the saved game will be lost.

Why is this mod incompatible with Warning System Extension? I want this mod, but I do have WES installed to save losing ships and stations without even being warned about it!

My Fulme... whatevers (those huge capital class shippy things) still charge in, bounce off Xenon destroyers, removing all their shields and take tons of unnecessary damage. Dunno if you programmed for these guys.

Hello CLJ - just letting you know I've always loved your mod (since version 1.2x something) and was very glad to see it updated for version 2.x.

I do need to point out however that the issue with drones not returning to dock is unfortunately still present, though it occurs at a much less frequent rate. I just had a Heavy Sul of mine spit out a long line of combat drones, none of them returned to dock after the enemy was destroyed - they just sat motionless in space with Command: None

Thankfully I caught it when it was only about 30 drones or so, and was able to destroy them manually. A station once spat out 300+ drones and I had to start over my game because of that.

As the author stated, DO NOT USE THIS MOD WITH 2.00 or later. A game-breaking bug occurs due to capital ships endless spawning waves of drones. You will not notice it immediately, then will fly into Cuspid Split finding over 5,000 drones all lined up or in groups dropping your framerate to <1.

It is not yet compatible with 2.00. It needs an update. I'm working on that as we speak. And, I have some great new features planned for the next version, in addition to compatibility. :)

Sorry for the delayed reply, I haven't been online in a while. I have had final exams and things lately, and haven't had time to work on my MODs. Anyway, yes, this MOD should be fully compatible with existing saves.

No, I'm afraid this mod does not add that feature, but you can probably accomplish what you are trying to with the Manual Command Extension by Berserk Knight. This MOD is not currently available on the Steam Workshop, but you can easily download it from the Nexus here:

Does this mod gives you the option to assign small fighters to a Capital Ship such as the Sucellus or the Balor (whom doesn´t have drones) so they escort them and figth for them?
