Just to let you know, this mod is now outdated since road creation tools have been added to the game. Unfortunately, selecting and moving road sections isn't supported by this mod. You might want to explore the built-in road creation feature for more flexibility. Hope this helps!

I like the network, but once I put down a road, I can't select sections so I can move them around. It doesn't seem to matter whether I'm in editing track, details, scenery, or room. Please help!

I will be moving the road pieces to my "Legacy" mod since we will be getting proper road creation tools in Rolling Line and thus these roads will be obsolete.

Seriously, roads should have been in the base game three years ago. This mod makes the game worth playing. Thank you for making it!

where is the straight sidewalk?

i can't find a T junction for your R-S set? there is a T junction for all the other sizes I believe.

@Detail When hovering over the road in edit mode, Press E for more repaint options

Typical "Neighborhood" streets have a center dividing line but no shoulder lines. I thought the repaint option would give me the option to paint only the center line, but it instead removes the center line and leaves the shoulder lines. Any way to accomplish this?

Update again! If I select terrain or detail, THEN select track, it seems to let me edit. So the item needs to get the edit terrain or edit details signal, THEN edit track signal. Does this for me for both bulk and via edit tool. Seems consistent too.

UPDATE: Bulk editing seems to fix the road, so I can edit placed pieces? Although the edit tool doesn't like it it seems

AH alright, ty. And yeah, I knew it was the track layer, but it can be temperamental sometimes. But I'll remember to do that order in the future when it doesn't play ball.

@Ant Craft Road props use the "Track" layer, so you will need to select "Edit track" when using the Edit tool. If problems still persist you can try selected both Edit details and then Edit track.

@Will Must have selected the wrong UV face on accident without realising it, I'll have to look into that when I make an update on this mode eventually.

That's a weird glitch I sometimes get. Try using the edit tool on any terrain, details, track ect. near the road, and then use them again and it should allow you to edit the road then. I think it glitches out when it's (partly) inside another object which you can't edit, so once you can edit that, you should be able to select the road too

Oh also, when I press apply, I can't edit the roads anymore. At all. I tried editing track, room, terrain, details. None let me mess with these roads anymore.

I have noticed an issue with the 2 long straight road. Seems one of the outer lines doesn't line up properly.

Ah, fair point actually. I've already noticed this when replacing my old road network (that uses the lagacy mod), so I understand why that could cause issues.

@Ant Craft hey thanks for your response, I did make more props for this however I never got around to uploading them. The issue with the sidewalk is that you can only have one snapping type per prop so roads also share the same attachment point as sidewalks. It would also mean I would have to completely redo the sidewalks so they’re seperate props (which could mess up people who are already using it). But I could do that for you it’ll just take some time.

Any plans to add any more props to this? Know you said you'd add more, but thought I'd ask since the last update was back in May. Would love to have more sidewalk props for other road pieces. And also, I think it'd be a cool idea to change the sidewalks so that they snap onto the roads, like the catenary masts snap onto the side of the track. This way, you could just have a single sidewalk for each side, so that'd allow for more customisability when placing them dows. But I could be asking for too much here XD Really appreciate your mod though, and hope you continue updating it as it's super useful

People freaking out about the roads. Its a game get over it. He isn't slaving away just for you to make your little fantasy land. Cut the guy a break and let him work at his own pace. Its a passion project, don't act entitled.

Ok, I see. However, the roads seem to not become editable no matter what I do. Even the mass edit buttons in the menu don't make the roads editable.

@turnerdeedo That is an intentional feature, you need to use the Edit Track option on the edit tool as the roads use the "Track" layer . It's like that so you if you only want to select the road props you can without selecting other details on your layout. Let me know if you want me to change that to use the "details" layer, as layout creators used the old system, may be confused with the change.

I'm having a problem with the new roads, I can't edit the roads after they have been applied. Is there a fix for this?

I don't understand, the old network roads worked great.
