In Aviation mode (HELICO, PLANE) red and blue colors are too bright (too saturated).
They overlap (merge, mix) the default red (CSAT) and blue (NATO) task colors.

I think they're referring to situations where you may need to be able to see the area in which the GPS is blocking, hence making it transparent for more visual sighting

so for example, you wouldn't be blind-sided by an enemy due to the GPS panel being toggled open!

hope this sheds light a little, just an assumption, OP may tell you different!

less clutter, and landmarks are visible with less strain, and markers on map can be seen better on a black and white translucent map than a full colored one. Both are good, and both have their own use cases.

May I ask, is it possible to retain vanilla transparent GPS panel, and make your Enhanced GPS served as another seperate panel. So we can use [ and ] keys to cycle through these 2 GPS panel? Because sometimes the transparent one is more suitable for certain situations

Because if you place black symbols or lines on the map - with Map Darkmode they are white. And that's - on the Enanced GPS - is as good to see as a white eagle on white background. (The national flag of East Frisia) ;)

Hey this is a pretty nice mod, we were looking into using it and wondering if it is allowed to repack it with some other small mods into our modpack to keep our modlist small?

Just one question. Would it be possible to add some 'night time' mode? When it is very dark, the brightness from the GPS gets unwelcome sometimes.

@Redwan S. Yeah, this is because those vehicles use the ground GPS instead of the aerial one in their config. It's because of an omission from the creator of the vehicle. This could be fixed with a patch, it's not really difficult. But it would be very time consuming to correct this error in every modded aircraft where its present.

@Hoplite I get the ground vehicle/foot GPS when in the air vehicle instead of the helicopter or the plane one.

@DragonGhost Ok strange; there's no reason it does this but I will take a look for future versions.

so without the mod, if you use shift and left click you can add, a 3d visual marker that you dont have to keep looking at the map to know your destination. your mod has it but its like double click and they dont shot up after you drop 3 or more markers, and sometimes only 1 of 4 markers can be seen in-game. and i deleted the other markers and had 1 and the black dot only. and still it didnt show up in game. if that helps

@Faex I need to check exactly what causes the issue, but I think it's because modders forgot to set some value in their config files to indicate what gps version their aircraft should use. I may be able to correct this, but if I need to edit each config for each aircraft of each popular mod, it's gonna be a lot of work for a small detail.

For modded aircraft such as the RHS helicopters, the GPS only shows the 'On Foot'/'In Car' color scheme instead of using the the Helicopter/Plane version. The only RHS aircraft that doesn't have this issue is the Littlebird.

I noticed a bunch of modded aircraft don't use the air GPS. How does it decide which to use? Would tweaking the configs for the vehicles be a solution?
