Thank you.
Point is, its not really worth all the time it takes to make high quality maps if nobody plays them.. i made the map because i thought there is real chances of getting it into the map cycle in autosearch if it wins mapping contest (like in COH1) but that never happened so it kinda takes away all the motivation to make maps for CoH2, nobody plays them, especially not me myself because i only play multiplayer with random ppl through autosearch and if even high quality community maps wont get to that autosearch, whats the point of spending 100 hours to make a proper map... but converting to summer version doesnt take that much time so i might do that like so many here wishes :)
keep on making maps
It needs blizzards and the cold weather mechanic! I think this might help you out http://www.coh2.org/topic/10932/how-to-blizzard-in-custom-maps
The other issue is the top-right of the lake itself seems a little bland when the bottom-left has that Snipers Tower, maybe add some small stone island or something for variety?
So far there is quite little ice on multiplayer maps, so i made a map with lots of ice :) But as you can see there isnt that many places where your troops can land from the ice, thanks to cliffy terrain.
I designed the map so that both sides would have positions which are easy to defend, and there is many safe places where you can build artillery without fearing it being destroyed too easily.
