you can also add spear in stat_pri_attr

For anyone still interested in this, you can do this change yourselves

In export_descr_unit find the hoplite unit you want and change the below if you want spears and no phalanx (ignore stats its from different units)

stat_health 2, 0
stat_pri 16, 4, no, 0, 0, melee, simple, piercing, spear, 25 ,8
stat_pri_attr spear, spear_bonus_8

change the below if you want short pike / spears and phalanx as well. I think its better as you have option for phalanx as well.

Cool mod, do you have plans for other units as well? Spartan unit now looks terrible, would be cool if someone gave them armor instead of a red dress :)

Sorry looks like I didn't do it for the rebalanced stats, though I thought I had.

I tested it again and they don't hit the enemies with their spears, the individual soldier keep them in hand until he come to contact with an enemy and switch to he's secondary weapon. I have no other mods even downloaded.

Hoplite still have a very long spear, alot longer than the picture you have but shorter than a pikeman. Any way to make the spears like the picture you have?

when coming to contact with other units they just use their swords and don't even attack with their spears

@POLEWA don't think it can be made compatible unless the mods are manually merged or someone makes a tool for merging them.

Good mod, and historical. But you could do it on compatible with total conqueror and officers mods ?

How did you accomplish this? Was it just with the short_pike attribute bc I could not figure that out recently in the og Rome.
