This is a map I just keep coming back to. I've tried a number of other UK themed maps but I always come back to this one.

Sorry to be a pain but where do i find this in game to load? I've tried the load game bit and it won't show up it only shows up as a mod i can add onto the game

This map is frankly fantastic. I'm very good at designing realistic railways, but not so great at terrain-work, so this map is just amazing!

@Juicy_BigPink69 The realistic slopes mod only lowers the gradient.

@Z_nan get the realistic slopes mod, it allows you to adjust how steep your trains can go

Really great mod, the only thing i disliked is how sharp most hills are. The angle gets far too high for realistic railways and stations.

Great map, although my PC struggled to handle in the end. Please make more!

@Seriphyn - I've not used it or consider it in the design. But the map is largely intended to be realistic for railway building. The exception being there are a few industries on/near hill tops, which in real life would probably have steeper narrow gauge lines. So these might be hard or require road transport part way, if that mod is always used.

Hi there, is this map intended to be played with the realistic rail slopes mod?

Hi is it possible to play this with the industry expanded mod, or will that mess with the industry setup here?

I played this map several months ago, and really enjoyed it, but due to computer problems, I ended up losing all of my game saves, but I have recently started playing again, and I'm looking for a good British style map to play on. I would love to play this map, but I'm wondering if it will still be playable following the Spring update.

@Sono - Thanks. Not sure why they now require plastics. I tried loading my save of the map, which still had the mod enabled and it was working. I tried loading it without the mod and it still worked. @JK I've had an issue that's just come about. For some reason both of my goods plants now require plastics to work, any clues on how to fix?

Absolutely amazing map. Been playing it for the past few days and have enjoyed it a massive amount!

It may vary depending where your Steam installed and your Operating System. And your user ID that is one of the folder names is unique to you.

@nielsmohlmann - Thanks. Eventually I plan convert or remake probably all of my previous mods. I'm adding much detail when I do, so it takes a while. I'm currently working the pannier tank and saddle tank.

Hi JK, I have been playing this game and TF1 as well with your mods and it is absolutely amazing! Thanks for all the work! Just curious, are maybe planning to convert more of the older TF1 mods for TF2 like the engines and coaches? Thanks again!

@Coaster - Yeah, either way is basically the same outcome as how I've used them. I went for the two standard versions, with just trucks or a shuttle train needed to link them.

The oil and fuel refineries may as well be combined into a single factory that turns crude into fuel, or am I missing something here?

Thanks, i have Laptop i7 7700HQ with 16gb Ram and GTX 1060 but with 700 mods loaded i can just about play large maps at 45fps with tweaked graphics settings. So i guess a map this size would push my limits.

@Reddragon792 - I've been playing it on my newer PC (Ryzen 5 3600X, 32GB, GTX 1660 Super 6GB, SSD), up to ~1930 with about half the places connected up and it seemed fine. I loaded it on my older PC (FX-4350, 16GB, GTX750 Ti 2GB) and it was slow when first moving about, but 25fps once stuff had loaded in. But I think the older system would slow down more once properly played for a while. The recent patch has helped. Whilst it is the biggest map size, I'd say it's much less densely populated than most. Hope that helps.

What rig setup would you need to run this without lag etc with settings set to max

A very welcome addition! I spent over a year building and playing around with the TpF1 variant of this map as it was one of a very select number that combined a large map with a lower and distant population. We need to allow our locos to get to full steam! Thanks JK, I can see me using this as my next project when the time comes.
