It's base game behaviour that the AI can hit targets out of LOS with AoE Abilities, ABA prevents that from happening.
Ranges are the same as regular Andromedons' Acid Glob, which IS quite far.

well that's interesting to find out.. backburner can lob the incendiary extremely far, AND on targets that are out of LOS and he shouldn't know about

yikes had 7 of them patrolling in a pod, was chewing through their hp for three turns with a nice acid ambush to get rid of armour, aaaannnd than a sectopod prime came strolling in DX

Nope, I don't feel like they need anything unique compared to the regular andromedons and I didn't have any good enough ideas that weren't available from other mods already.

Also with andromedons being so "rare" even with only the base game, having differing corpses would make the normal andro autopsy very difficult to get.

@TeP* I like this idea a lot. It expands on enemies in a way fits easily into the game. There is no reason not to have several variants of all the different aliens in XCOM 2. Much appreciated.

Yes, it does 2 damage on contact, plus a 2 damage dot.
No conflicts as I have it using it's own damage values that you can adjust in the XComDromeDome.ini

Do the Backburner's flamethrowers deal damage with the fire stream they shoot out, or are they just similar to the Purifier's flamethrower? (which don't do damage by default) I'm also curious since I also have Purifier Damage installed as well and wondering if there are any conflicts.

Nice to see different versions of the Andromedon. I'd love to see something a bit more different though than the damage types, like maybe doing something else when killed.
Like maybe exploding when it takes damage in robot form or a boss type that is twice as tough because it has no robot form, but self destructs on death, splattering acid all around.

Often enough when facing these things, it's in robot form before it gets to do anything and they aren't that impressive in that form.
