since all the voice packs are loaded (not just the ones you use on soldiers) during tactical; file sizes do matter especially when you run many different voice packs together. I think current reasonable sizes for voice packs are 2- 5 mb so that is why people want the voice packs cooked.

@xxPYROxxJONESxx I didn't make the Church voice pack so there's nothing I can do with that one. Also I don't have a steam deck so I couldn't comment on that.

chruch is 75mb :) now if all i need is church then im on the same wavelength. but if i want to run as many mods as i can get away with on my steam deck then things start getting tricky

@xxPYROxxJONESxx If the voice packs were exorbitantly large I'd consider it. But at these sizes, I don't think its necessary and it shouldn't have an impact on performance. That said I can't really test that myself as I have a 4090 and overall a rather high end system.

yeah, fair enough - ive been adding many of the coolest things ive found (that aren't cooked) to a collection - once my actual collection is complete i will experiment with enabling all of the uncooked mods (initially just the reasonably sized, then all of them). ill let you know what the real-world impact is.

@xxPYROxxJONESxx These RvB voice packs already have a small file size, I don't really see the need to cook them.

@captenryan13 First I've ever heard of this issue. Have you tried unsubbing then resubscribing? I know that can help having issues with mods from steam workshop.

I saw the other comments saying to use AML so I am but its still not going, all the other voice packs seem to work fine but Wash and Carolina just wont talk when I hit preview or in game.

@captenryan13 Are you using the default mod launcher? If so that launcher is broken and there are many mods not working properly with it. Download and use the Alternate Mod Launcher or "AML" and that will fix all issues with mods not working.

For some reason the mod shows up but the voice wont play, does anyone know a possible fix for this?

@LordNom Thanks mate, it's no problem. It's funny I've been wanting to play the game again for the past month or two but havent because I've been busy making all these VP's for my next playthrough lol

@fatsesh69 I'll get to Carolina soon. However she'll be a character that will take a while to make. Considering how long she's been in the show for. It'll take a while to gather all her lines, similar to Wash. That's why I'm doing a smaller character first. Just to give myself a break. If you want you could always make her VP while I'm doing the next one. It'll take some of the load off of my shoulders lol.

@fatsesh69 I have a character in mind. I'll leave it as a surprise but I think it'll be a surprise to most people. All I'll say is it wont be a main cast character. Just because the character I think will be fun to do.
