how do i make it use main gun not rocket launchers first

@FACEpuncher I haven't tried it but it's not compatible most likely. Can't speak for the USAF Sounds Improve mod but mine doesn't change class names. It's just overwriting some settings. But I assume that's what the other mod does as well so they're probably conflicting.

It's giving the server an error... I assume that mod changes the classname of the a-10c. Would making a compat patch be on ur end or their end?

@bro he prefired me!!! Thanks for your feedback and especially the videos, those were super helpful! The impact sounds should now be aligned for all planes. I went for the ones that are used by vanilla, RHS and Firewill.

first link is the USAF plane with this mod, the second is the RHS plane, sounds a bit different

the impact sounds for the USAF plane sounds different to the RHS ones(with dynasound2)

Did some testing and I agree with you, the A-164's 30 mm impact sounds seem to fit a lot better than what the USAF mod is using. So I changed it! Hope you like it. :)

If you're referring to the changes my mod makes to the gun, the main reasons I did that are:
A) The real A-10 actually only has two fire modes today (used to be differently in the 80s and 90s), a one second and a two second burst.
B) I only have two audio files in decent quality for it and I needed to adjust the gun's bullet output and firing rate so it matches the audio

Loving the mod! Is there a way that the mod can just be the changes to the sounds without changing anything else?

If you want you can try DynaSound 2 and the Enhanced Soundscape mod together and see how the A-164 Wipeout's gun impact sounds

I did nothing to the impact sounds. That must be a different mod doing it. :D

@Sassafras: perhaps you can still adjust the gau 8 impact? I miss the flashes of light during the impact .. (just like the Squad A-10) What do you think about this?

There‘s still some things about this mod I‘d like to improve (e.g. close flybys sometimes sound a little weird) and I also have some other mods in private that I’m probably going to work on next. Maybe I‘ll look into more sound modding for other planes after that. :)

I don’t think I’m going to make mods for other planes any time soon. Started making this A-10 mod for me and my friends a while back because I felt like no matter what mod you used, the A-10 and the GAU never really sounded like the real thing and it was kind of disappointing. At some point people started telling me that I should make my mod public and here we are. :D
I never felt like it was necessary for the other fighters by USAF or Firewill as I always felt like they got their sounds quite right.

Have you thought about taking on the USAF F22 and F35 as well?
