Made a patch for Unique UI

Cheers for the testing :)

Back with confirmation: Playing with Unique Faction UI interferes with your mod. We deactivated the other UI mod and everything is fine. A pity, the UI mod does add quite a bit of flavour.

Hi again Matthew!
After some experimenting, we figured out the issue. As long as we have the mod Unique Faction UI active, yours only works partially, no matter the load order (mainly tested in SP due to lack of multi-army fights yesterday). Kaedrin's Mod Manager doesn't point to any mod conflicts, however. But without the UF UI it works fine, even with 53 other mods active.
Steps to reproduce quickly: Start with Tyrion in Vortex, use marching stance over the water to the DE village northwest (Angerial?), land on the beach, press next turn and they attack with reinforcements.
Will re-check in MP on sunday without UF UI mod.
Btw, the side effect StefanFr mentioned: https://www.dropbox.com/s/eop25bf862igxam/Screenshot%202022-03-22%20222527.png?dl=0

Thanks for answering! Wasn't expecting that to be honest :D
My next session is planned for tomorrow, will try to find battles with 2+ armies and provide screenshots from both host and client. If that doesn't happen, then sunday. Thank you!

If you link me to a screenshot I'll see what I can do about it.

I'm not playing WHII co-op atm so can't easily reproduce.

Well after playing a few dozen H2H turns, we observed that the mod only partially works. When fighting against an AI army with reinforcements, the "main" player can still see where the AI gets the other army, albeit without the huge red sign. Only the small golden part is visible. The other human player however still gets the old symbol. It is a bit inconsistent.

Years. For YEARS I have been looking for a mod such as this. Finally (and accidentally) I found it. THANK YOU! This makes my H2H campaigns so much better!

I noticed one side-effect of this mod, which removes the team-based coloration of other battle alerts (like say the message "The enemy lord is wounded!", normally it's a skull with a red circle around it, but with the mod enabled its JUST the skull, which is pretty easy to miss due to the color of the HUD)

If you can make a version that only hides the enemies (it can be SP only imo), it seems that a lot of people would love it

But yeah if possible I think you should be able to see where your own army is arriving, as realistically the armies would have some sort of coordination together

As someone who plays a lot of MP this is an amazing mod, it's really annoying having an entire army sniped by the other player before they can even set up

I don't play MP, but for SP not knowing where your troops will be coming from is annoying, especially since it's not always clear from positioning on the campaign map, unfortunately.

Good thought, though it would be quite lot more work to create that than this version. I'll look into it as an option or sibling mod.

It would work well in single player; however I find in campaign multi-player it helps the pacing of the battles to also hide your own tags.

When paired with Delayed Reinforcements you're rewarded for starting a dynamic 1 flag vs 1 flag fight early into the battle. It's less tedious for the other player than being stalled until you can bring to bear overwhelming force from multiple flags.

I agree with the suggestion cybvep.

Interesting. However, I think that a version which only hides the enemy's red icon would be event better. It makes sense to know the direction for the approach of your troops, but the enemy may surprise you.
