Just tested it myself (merging the two model folders) and like you said it worked like a charm. Very strange. Thanks again for helping me out, that was a weird quirk of RPFM I didn't know about haha

Yeah if you can re-send that would be nice! Very strange issue, in-game that stakes/king's wall worked just fine so I never suspected the two different folders to be an issue!

Maybe you would want that i resend to you the pack files i worked on ? So you can use it as a base ? Ps :on working on your mod ,i made my own weapon set (emp_matchlock_rifles set /emp fireloque rifles set /emp fireloque pistols set /emp pistols modded set and emp double barrel rifles set that only contains the models i made without the vanilla ,you can discard them or readd the vanilla weapon set as you want .I made them so that i can discard any misstype situation for the lack of models appearing in game). In the pack files i worked on ,all the models appears when the set is referenced in the variant mesh definitions files

I don't understand why your two wh_variant models folder didn't merge when you created them .They seem strictly the same so strange thing

You got two wh_variants_models folder .When importing from my main mode ,the models fall under the first folders and work without a hinch but when they fall under the second folder ,they do not appear anymore.I think the game only check the first folder for models maybe (idk tbh).I would advise you to merge the two wh_variants models then you should be able to work without a hinch.

It's very stange, because like I said your other mod "More guns for the empire" works just fine for me. It's just the double barrel and fireloque's one. I've ported over tons of other models and those have worked as well, not sure what i'm doing wrong with these two haha.
My process is extract from your mod to a folder, import them into my mod then copy/paste the definition into the soldier variant definition that I'm trying to make.

I can send you my pack file if you want, though not sure how. Email?

normally theses mods should work just by dropping the weapons models in your emp_props folder of your mods and the weapons textures in your emp props tex folder and by making the variant mesh definitions files .The models itself doesn't need to be touched

ah also you should know that the ways i made the mod there is a limit of 5 models per variant mesh definitions so if you add 6 gun models only the first five will show up.I know there is a way to alleviate this problem but i have not work on this for the moment ,i wanted to do that when IE dorp for wh3 so that all my gun models ends up in one mod

the files path that end with shield should not be touched but it should also not have a impact on the models itself.It was just the path files that i used to put the models in the rome 2 assembly kit to patch them for warhammer 2 so that they show up in game

Normally you have in the folder a files named variant mesh definitions that defines which models show up in the hand of the soldier.This variant FOLDER has one files for the rifle and one for the pistol.The guns models should be referenced in the variant mesh definitions under the vanilla models.If a model doesn't show up then it come probably friom this files

Hello! Been trying and failing to get this and the double barrel one to work, matchlock ones work just fine. I think I might see an error, though maybe I'm crazy.
For regular vanilla rifles I see the texture folder in the rigid model file is variantmeshes/wh_variantmodels/hu1/emp/emp_props/tex/
but for your double barrel mod the texture folder goes to variantmeshes/_variantmodels/man/shield/tex/

could that be a problem i'm running into? When it comes to moving moving your gun "definition" to another unit definition I copy and paste like I would for any other weapon

I would advise to strilcty copy and paste the files names of the gun models and if the pistol models show up , try copy pasting from your pistol reference everything before emp-props.Do a little checkup on the file reference and voila ,it should work

I would check your variant mesh files to see if you didn't make a misstype while giving the files path to the gun models in your mod.Just a letter or even a space bar too much will give the wrong path to the game wich means the game does'nt find the gun models .
If the weapons doesn't appear it is frequently because of that

Hello, just a quick question, I've been trying to add the rifles to my mod but when I load up the unit in game theres no weapon?
I've imported both the variantmesh and variant model, not sure what im doing wrong!
Same issue with the double barrel rifle.

Pistolets work just fine though?
