Even so, something so small can get away with just a few faces and good smoothing. Usually, the really smooth, rounded bits will be on big objects that demand detail on the basis of their size and visual noise. On something this subdued it just seems like a bit of overkill, and might slightly hurt its chances of getting in the game

The reason is that there are rounded objects. The bullets, bands around the legs and handle of the knife. Finding triangles to remove will be difficult.

Not bad. Would suit a more 'combat' oriented Sniper.
I'd rotate the bullets though. No one keeps bullets on the front of their thighs. They should be where the knife is, and the knife should be about the lower calves.

The kneepads could be a bit bigger too. They look awfully low-poly, even in a stylized 'cartoony' game such as TF2.

But a promising concept. Good work.
