The history in your description is off. Canadian Pacific had bought SD9043MACs, which are essentially the same as the 80MAC. NS sold them to Progress Rail (PRLX) in 2020 due to Precision Scheduled Railroading (PSR) and wanting to cut down on their roster of locomotive types that they only had a handful of. AFAIK, the PRLX SD80MACs are still around and in leaser service, but I believe that they are currently stored as of right now.

As it says above, BN/BNSF did not have any of these, only Conrail, and those units were split between NS and CSX
