you create a folder, name it some ♥♥♥♥, then you make a folder path leading to the sound you want to change, then make a wav (if the file you chose to replace is wav), make sure it's 44100 Hz, then rename that wav into the file you want replaced. Once you do that, go back to your main folder, drag that onto vpk.exe that's located in \bin. You can then post this onto the workshop via the workshopper in the mod tools, or you can copy the main folder or the vpk and paste it into \zps\custom. In order to find the vanilla files, you must go into zps_content_dir.vpk located in \vpks.

The sounds are fairly muffled but that doesn't mean much.
