Help me set up the removal of bodies from the shore please

I'm not sure if you're still interested in working on this mod or expanding it, but would it be possible to make a configuration for gear to be dropped and remain in world (for item/type lifetimes, ideally) while player body is removed?

I know this is probably a strange ask, because this *wont* improve server performance really, but it would be super useful for RP servers, where someone's character often doesn't "die" when their toon does.

Just a suggestion/question!

does this mod need to be in both client and server or can be applied on serverisde only?

In my case the Mod works serversided.

Why does not it work Oldbody?

QuickBodyCleanupLifetime = 600;
QuickBodyCleanupTime = 60;
OldBodyCleanupEnabled = 1;
OldBodyCleanupTime = 4800;

QuickBody was gone after 1 min.
Oldbody was gone after 30 minutes

should be in servers root directory by default, same file where you add server name/ server password and such.

So, when you killed yourself the 1st time, your character was most likely actually quite old from all the testing you have done before, this looks at the lifetime of a player, not the time from login.

Try your test again but kill yourself first so your a new player. @DazzieBoi

hmm didn't seem to work on my test server.
Added all the setting to my serverDZ.cfg

QuickBodyCleanupLifetime = 300;
QuickBodyCleanupTime = 60;
OldBodyCleanupEnabled = 0;
OldBodyCleanupTime = 2700;

killed myself, repsawned, killed myself again and body was still there for at least 5 minutes at which time I logged out

yes it will, can be helpful for events when theres 1000 bodies at one location, they are force cleaned @DazzieBoi

will this mod delete bodies if other players are still in close proximity?

This server needs to be run on both client and server side

@Sir DannyDoomno1 does this overwrite the weapon attachment slots for the weapons cause I added this to my server and it deleted all guns in our gun racks so had to remove and roll back.

the idea is not bad, but i prefer that players should keep the charackter and spawn and dont suicide cuz its lame trying get a better spawn. for pvp servers its a good mod
