No worries, dude! This is GMod's fault due to it's very old arse engine.
In S&box there will no be problems like this due to hot load of *obj/*fbx models straight into the game.

That'd make sense, was very high poly model to start with and much further would have ruined the shape keys way too much

@Maygik; @ieunchong9: It's because this model has very big amount of polygons, so GMod can't render a blood decal on it. Maybe try to lower graphical settings and/or upgrade your PC and/or try multi-core rendering enabled.
