I started as a count, got seleted to be a marshal and then (because I was leader of independence faction) i resigned from the council.
Its 10 years later and my emperor is still "royal marshall" :P
It seems that you forgot to include all instances where titles should be removed/changed into lesser ones.
First: Subscribe to mod
Second: Start CK2
Third: After it starts up and is in the game menu exit CK2 by using the exit button
Fourth: Load up CK2. Any mod should now be in the mods section of the launcher and should work properly
Now u cant exploit it by collecting 5 famous traits, ie famous diplomat and famous general. Only the last job counts
